The weather turned out to be amazing. The ocean on top of dune was stunning. The light sea breeze was absolutely perfect, and the tears that rolled down my Sheldons face was incredibly beautiful. Was magical walking Barefeet down the isle to be next to him.
We are only going in December. We decided to make a tick on our bucket list together. We are going to Finland, to go and see the Aurora lights is a glass igloo, while sitting by the fireplace drinking red wine.
My hair and make up was done by Marnel Toerien. I’ve never looked so beautiful, when I saw myself in the mirror for the first time, I started crying. She was so much fun.
My dress was handmade by Estelle Dunhauser, my lace came from Spain. She actually made my matrix farewell dress for myself and my sisters. She’s been a family friend for years, when she gave me my dress she said “ it’s like a made a dress for my own daughter “.
My Jewelery was crystals and pearls. The lace in my dress was also crystals and pearls. My wedding was on the beach, so I rocked it Barefeet the hole night. My feet was sooo dirty the next morning. My nails was done by Tammy Taylor, with stunning art work. Ring fingers said I Do, Mrs and our initials on my other fingers. It looked stunning.

My venue was in Yzerfontein, venue called Strandkombuis. It’s was a beach wedding. My guests stayed at the venue, the rooms was not the best, and the venue didn’t provide a cleaning service or daily clean towels which was very upsetting. But the food was absolutely delicious. We both always said we wanted a beach outdoor wedding. And it turned out to be the best.
I went for a wash and blow at Megs Hairsalon in Yzerfontein, and they were so great. Got a hair treatment for some extra softness. Hairsalon was breathtaking, and the head massage was just why I needed. I got a facial and a pedicure tan Tammy Taylor in JHB, before we flew to Cape Town for the wedding.
All my flowers was all white orchids from Holland, and white roses and white lilies from Cape Town. I also added some ivy leaves for a touch of green. The hole white outside tent was lit up with fairy lights and purple park van lights, it looked like scene from a fairy tale. I also had a cartoonist to draw cartoon pictures of my guest and fire dancers for entertainment. My flowers was done by Karen from Flowers on the Stoep. All my furniture was hired from Baie Goeters and Makiti. We didn’t use any items from the venue as it all was a bit outdated and dirty. We hired everything in new. It all looked so beautiful. Breathtaking actually.

The groom and grooms mens was dresses by Frank Bespoke, groom wore Louie Vuitton sneakers and a M.K bow tie. Grooms suite was a dark blue with a white shirt and a black and blue blazer jacket. Groomsmen wore white button sleeves, rolled up. And champagne color chinos. Our two year old wore a champagne color chinos and a white button shirt with a navy blue blazer and Barefeet. We had wooden frame sunglasses printed on, and they all wore that. They all looked very stylish.
My bridesmaids wore champagne color long dresses with a low v cut, their hair was beachy waves. And they also wore no shoes, with some lint wrapped over their feet. They had long rose gold earrings in. They each had pure white orchids as bouquets.

Our guest book was take a snap, paste in the book and write a message. It came out so beautiful.

No me and Sheldon did everything our selfs. We phoned for the best prices, spoke and met with all our suppliers.
My husband Sheldon did so much, he organised our hole wedding. He oversaw all the suppliers, with the help of his own company staff. He build our tables build most of the decor, arranged everything. I’m so blessed to have a man like him in my life. He was very hand on. The hole day was a such a surprise for me. He added so many small elements that just made the day amazing.
We hire a Vito bus for all our guests. Everyone came from JHB.
Our wedding car was a blue and white Cape Cobra, and wow was that a treat. That car has so much power. And the blue looked stunning in all our photos.
The venue, Strandkombuis made all the sea food on open fire. The food was sooo good.
My 4 layer wedding cake was half a meter tall, each layer a different flavor, white frosting with fresh white orchids on the side. Put cake was baked and delivered by Barbara’s Cake from Darling. We also had a huge donut wall,
Sheldon also build the donut wall.
Sheldon designed and printed everything. His company is called Writing on the wall.
His staff was amazing on the day for set up and break down.
We had our first dance on Snow Patrol, Set down your glass. We took some dance lessons, as I can’t dance hehe. Our lighting was done by MCC lighting and our DJ was Riaan Groenewald. We also had a acoustic singer with the Canapés area, Glen Lewis. It was all so amazing. Really came together perfect.
