Where to begin!! As a small girl, your mind is almost like a Pinterest board when you think of your fairytale wedding day. I think the most memorable moment is that God's presence was felt and truly embraced by each and every guest. From the moment I walked in and saw how emotional TJ (my husband) was, I knew in that moment that this was a feeling no Pinterest board would ever be able to capture.
We had the most amazing Honeymoon in South Africa! We had our very own taste of Greece at Club Mykonos in Langebaan.
The best thing I decided to do with my wedding look (hair and makeup), was to trust my sister. She did such an amazing job and I think she sometimes knows me a bit better.
Because my wedding dress was this gorgeous Off-Shoulder fit and flare gown designed by the amazing Stella York, I just had to do an updo hairstyle to show off the amazing detail of the dress. I had an unforgettable experience at Bridal Emporium in Bloemfontein buying my dress. Karlien really saw right through me took me right out of my comfort zone with my first fitting.
My shoes were locally-bought blue Leather shoes (my something blue) and every time I put them on, I relive my whole wedding day. Best advice... get a pair of shoes you can still wear afterwards!
My Satin Sleepset was a sentimental piece. My mom got the Satin Dress and Robe on her wedding day, and I was so lucky to have been able to wear it on my wedding day
We got married at the most beautiful wedding venue in the Eastern Free State, Welgelegen Cherry Estate. The venue is located about 20 min drive from Fouriesburg and had enough accommodation for all of our guests.
Water, water and more Water! That was my main health regime leading up to the wedding. I had a chemical peel one month before the wedding and used my Angeloc LumiSpa & Galvanic Spa daily leading up to the wedding. I had my teeth whitened the Thursday before my wedding, so had some extra pearly whites which really made a difference on our photos.
We took the option to rent from an outside service provider, but did the decor and flower arrangements ourselves. I wanted to support a local Venue decor hire company; and am so thankful I did. Liesel from Hernel Wedding Decor hire really went all out to give me everything I needed. We actually did not use real Protea's and Peonies for our arrangements, which was a real budget saver and looked completely natural!
The Groom and Groomsmen proudly wore Woolies! Their Bowties and Suspenders were handmade by The Groom and I was completely blown away by the excellent quality and speedy service!
We got the exact Bridesmaid dresses I envisioned on a HUGE sale at Forever New. They paired these cute Blush Tulip dress with a pair of Nude heels and Gold Earrings. Their Bouquet was a Blush Pink Protea which just made the overall look.
Our Marriage Officer was from our Local NG church in our Hometown Bethlehem.

Janke from "Embrace Fotografie" did our engagement shoot, so of course we chose her to capture our special day. She did an amazing job and we even got a few photos the next day! She has an amazing talent! She is a Bethlehem local, who I have known since High School, so it was extra special!
The Videographer... just WOW! Ryno from DVB productions blew me away with his talent! He captured moments we will relive every time we watch our video. I cannot thank him enough for all his effort, and amazing personality! He made us feel so comfortable around the camera, we almost forgot we were being Filmed!!!
If my mom, best friend and sister count as wedding coordinators, then YES!
The venue is on a Farm, so I did not have wedding transport. I did however, make my big entrance by walking on a bridge across a pond. It was absolutely fairytale-like!
The wedding Venue prepared the amazing food and spent a week making sure my Wedding Cake exceeded all expectations!
I designed all of the Stationery for our wedding and was printed by a local Signage Company in Bethlehem, Sign Studio
We had the absolute best DJ, and was actually recommended by one of my Bridesmaids. He is local, which made everything hassle and stress- free. He did an amazing job with scanning the crowd and playing songs accordingly. He also did our lighting and we received a smoke machine absolutely free of charge for the dancefloor!!
