On the 12th of December Bernardt & I tied the knot after 3 and half years of dating. Looking back, our wedding day seems like a beautiful dream, what I felt in my heart is very strong, true and one of a kind. It's a memory we will forever cherish with our amazing family and friends. The best part of our wedding day was when I saw my dad & Bernardt for the first time, our vows, our first dance & the all-night-long wedding party. What an honour to be able to love and be loved.
Our honeymoon plans changed in the week of our wedding, Bernardt was admitted to hospital and was not able to go on malaria pills, which was a requirement for our honeymoon, we were ment to visit Azura Benguerra Island in Vilanculos, we were blessed enough that they put everything on hold for a year, so we hope that we will be able to go on our honeymoon mid this year.
You don't always decide your fate, so instead we went to Tsala Treetop Lodge in Plettenberg Bay, it was really amazing, we had the most amazing experience.
I wanted a wedding dress that I would love and always remember, something different.
For makeup we got Missy Makeup Artist, personally she is the best in the business.
My niece, Marilene Geldenhuys did my hair for my wedding, she is absolutely the best.
I wanted to look like myself, but the most beautiful version of me.

We got married at Harmonie Proteas, it was just amazing and 80 guests stayed on the venue the night.
My awesome bridesmaids took me to a spa the week of my wedding, it was amazing especially with everything going on with my husband to be.
I really wanted to exercise more but honestly I wrote my board exam a week before my wedding, my husband to be wasn't feeling the best the month before our wedding - so I just really tried to eat as healthy as possible.
I really wanted to go for the nude, blood orange, green, white, pink & beige colours.
Elsa, the owner of Harmonie Proteas did my flowers and it was everything I dreamt of.
My dad built arches for where we got married so that was very special.
And we got a cartoon artist to draw all of our guest beforehand - this was also our table placing.

Yes we went for dancing lessons, Bernardt had 2 left feet. We just wanted to be able to dance & enjoy it, nothing too practised.

Our DJ is the best in the business, he played a game with all the single guys for the carter, it was the best I've ever seen & he had everybody on the dance floor all the time.
