One of the most memorable moments of our wedding day was definitely when we shared our own personal vows and our 4 year old son joined us infront of all our family and friends . He was so happy to see his mom and dad tie the knot ! Another highlight of our day amongst all the others was seeing my groom tear up as I walked down the isle. It was a day filled with emotions! It was truly the best day ever .
We went on a short two day Mini moon. We are currently saving up for the big deal!
I did not want the traditional bridal look, my look was a blend between bohemian and sultry.
My Dad Paul de Morney created both my dresses and this has been my dream since I was a little girl! Each dress was made with love and I felt like a real princess!
My hair was in a soft low ponytail, with soft strands hanging down my face creating a relaxed easy going look without any fuss.

We got Married at the beautiful hidden gem Simondiums Country Lodge ! It's a breathtaking space with a old barn that stole our hearts as soon as we saw it ! A few of our guests opted to stay over after all the celebrations and enjoyed breakfast with us the morning after our wedding .
We created most of our decor items ourselves. We knew flowers cost a fortune and because I love Bougainvillea's we collected and dried them up. It really worked well with the edgy feel, the pale tone on the flowers added a soft touch to our tables. For lighting we went for naked edison bulbs hanging from the ceiling for a raw romantic feel .

Willie Viljoen At Cape Marriages was our marriage officer . He did such a great job in capturing our personalities. His message was heartfelt and funny at the same time .

We really searched high and low for the perfect photographer and videographer . we wanted our day to be captured in a way that whoever looks at our photos and video will feel the raw emotions.
Our food was absolutely divine! Simondiums Country lodge did all the catering and it was perfect! Our guests cannot stop raving about how delicious and comforting the food was .
Our cake was a dream! Made by Bakers Corner Bakery .
I was a total DIY bride , to make our pennies stretch I designed all the stationery myself. From the save the dates to Menu's etc.
It was very rewarding when seeing the end product.
Our first dance was really simple, we took no lessons.The groom is not much of a dancer so we didnt add too much pressure. We just took the dancefloor and swayed lovingly .
Our Dj was Theo from Sounds Fun entertainment , He really read the crowd well and got everyone dancing the night away!
