Magical Moments

The moments I will never forget was seeing my groom at the end of the isle waiting for his bride, having the privilege of my dad giving me away to him.
I will never forget looking into my moms eyes and hearing her say she is so proud of me.
Our first dance as husband and wife was such a romantic moment.

My heart is so full of thankfulness for the opportunity of having my dream wedding, the whole day was unforgettable.

Yes, things do go wrong but besides those small mistakes, everything was perfect. The weather, the guests, the food, the atmosphere.

I am so satisfied.

The Honeymoon

Yes, we had the most magical and romantic honeymoon in Dubai. We stayed in Sofitel, The Palm.

My Special Day

The overall look I went for on the day was just something I felt suited me best, where I could be myself and feel like a bride at the same time. I'm so thankful to all my service providers for putting in so much effort into making me the bride I wanted to be.

Hair and Makeup - I had a half up, half down curly style with a beautiful diamente accessory. My makeup was natural eyes with a bold red lip and both were done by Hair by Jones.

Wedding Dress - I wore an essence of Australia dress that I bought from Timeless Bridal Couture in Pretoria.

The Venue

We had our beautiful wedding at Zimbali Costal Resort, Dolphin coast. The ceremony and reception was both held at the Zimbali Lodge. My husband and I had the privilege of a complementary room in the Fairmont Hotel, Zimbali.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I never had a very strict beauty routine before the wedding but about two weeks before the big day I focused on drinking water only and cut out on all sodas and unhealthy eating. I would do a few face masks and a scrubs. I went for the usual pedicure and manicures with Blush and Glow in Boksburg, Johannesburg.

Wedding Elements

We stuck a simple black, white and rose gold colour scheme.
Our flowers were high rise above the table with white stargazer lilies, greenery and white draping orchids.
We had white wimbledon chairs with square and rectangle tables.

All our decor for the ceremony and reception was done by Sandy from Sweet P.

We had magical fairy lights hanging from the roof which was done by Basil a service provider from our venue.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

My gorgeous groom wore a beautiful black suit, white T-shirt and bow tie from ZED Menswear in Cape Town.
The groomsmen also wore black suits, white T-shirts and no ties, which we hired from Euro Suit in Sandton, Johannesburg.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

My bridesmaid went with a very untraditional look and wore white, 3 quarter dresses. They looked so stunning and their dresses were made by a lady named Baby from Boksburg, Johannesburg. These dresses were inspired by a celebrity that wore the dress to a movie premier.

Marriage Officer

We had the honour to be married by the grooms Dad which is Nicky van der Westhuizen from Boksburg, Johannesburg.

My Captured Moments

Our photographer and videographer was from a company called Conway Photography. They gave us the most incredible experience while taking photos and videos and they capture every emotion of the bride and groom and our guests.

Food & Cake

The food was provided by our venue. The cake was provided by Alex from Sweetsweet Badger in Durban, it was honestly one of the best wedding cakes I have ever tasted.

The Reception and Entertainment

Our reception was filled with so much love, laughter and fun. We played an incredible game, we had our first dance and the bride danced with her father and the groom with his mother. We of course danced all night and the music was brilliantly done by Martin from Manna Music. It was so much FUN!
