On the Friday before the wedding, it was pouring with rain throughout the day. I was so scared that I would not be able to do the ceremony in the forest. However, the rain stopped and the day of the wedding was absolutely beautiful!
The most memorable moment was seeing Christo as I walked down the 'aisle'. As soon as he saw me, he started crying and proceeded to cry halfway through the ceremony!
I am also so blessed that we were able to spend our big day with the people closest to us!
We have not gone on our Honeymoon as there are are other big changes in the works (move to another province, new jobs) but we will be going to Thailand in 2020.
I love the old Hollywood look, so I opted for darker make-up and Hollywood waves that were pinned back on one side. My make-up and hair was done by Lisa from Blush Make Up and Hair Services.
For the dress, I opted for a detailed dress from Blue by Enzoani that had an open back and long train. I rented the dress from Tying the Know Bridal Boutique.
The look was rounded off with rose gold earrings, hair clips and shoes.

Both the ceremony and reception took place at Murasie Wedding Venue in the Overberg region, close to Gansbaai. Some guests did stay the night as they offer cottages, guest rooms and camping facilities.

The lighting and decor was done by the amazingly talented Christien and Nel from Husband Wife Team.
The rose gold cutlery, maroon napkins and candles were rented from Event2Set and Functions & Events/Candles 4U.
Other elements were either provided by Murasie or by myself.
The groom and groomsmen wore sets from Mr. Suit Hire, Steenberg. This included the groom's jacket, trousers, waistcoats and burgundy ties.
The bridesmaids wore navy infinity dresses that I got from Superbalist as well as rose gold shoes and earrings.
