It's no secret that the SA Weddings team love their bubbles and just in time for the last working day of 2016, we've selected some of our favourite finds of great local MCC producers for when you're doing your summer shopping this holiday. After all there's alway a reason to celebrate, so CHEERS from us!
A firm favourite of ours and right on our doorstep, situated in beautiful Stellenbosch. This farm is well worth a visit this holiday! Try their Brut MCC for a lively expression of freshness with a seductive palate of citrus, fresh apple blossom, complete with great depth of rich fine mousse on the finish.
Another one to add to the Christmas stocking wish-list! The fine bubbles are complemented by a rich biscuity allure. Delicious favours of freshly baked bread, lemon cream, Granny Smith and Pink Lady apples on the nose and hints of citrus, pineapple and kiwi fruit on the pallet. The wine finishes rich and leaves a creamy aftertaste. Tastes like MORE!
Everyday becomes a celebration with this dreamy MCC! Creamy, rich notes give texture to the lively citrus and apple fruit whilst the tiny bubbles are like beads of sunshine dancing on your tongue. We can't wait for the sun to come out this summer and this is the perfect addition to your must-have bar list!
The grapes used to craft this sparkling wine were handpicked from specially selected Pinot Noir and Chardonnay blocks in the Franschhoek valley, resulting in a complex and rich MCC with a crisp clear palate. This "Methode Cap Classique" is one of our favourite finds! Retaining its fresh racy zestiness that is a result of crisp acidity and rich fruit, all we can say is thank goodness for the festive season and more excuse for bubbles this Christmas!
This Method Cap Classique is exclusively made from Chardonnay grapes – from a single vineyard and having been waiting patiently in its bottle for 3 years prior to release, its golden hue hints at the mouthwatering goodness that awaits. On the nose, you’ll find red apples, honey and almonds. Beautifully balanced and overtly delicious!!!
