Stokes Music

Stokes Music is a Cape Town based entertainment company specializing in bespoke live music experiences for various events, founded by Carla Stokes, a trained classical and jazz professional musician (saxophonist, and now also a DJ).
Carla founded Stokes Music as a natural extension of her career as a professional musician.

For over a decade now, she has been immersed in the live music industry, performing, studying her BMus degree at UCT College of Music, and building invaluable connections with fellow musicians and DJs. Through years of gigging and collaboration, she cultivated an incredible network of talented artists, many of whom she frequently works alongside.

From a young age, she began booking instrumentalists such as pianists, bassists, drummers, vocalists etc - for her own bands and projects, a role that has continued to expand as she has continued to establish herself in the industry.
Realizing that she had already been curating and coordinating musicians for years, it made perfect sense to formalize this work under her business, Stokes Music.
She takes great pride in fostering a community where we musicians support one another.
