Lida La Luna Art is a South African live wedding art studio bringing a personal, creative experience to weddings and special celebrations. Created by artist Dr. Nadine Lida Broodryk, the studio specialises in live wedding guest portraits, live wedding painting and commissioned wedding artwork inspired by the people, places and moments that make each celebration memorable.
Our live wedding guest portraits offer couples a different kind of wedding entertainment. Throughout the celebration, guests can watch as their outfits, personalities and little details are interpreted in a loose, playful watercolour-and-graphite style. The portraits are intentionally light and expressive rather than formal or highly detailed, allowing each artwork to be created as part of the energy and movement of the wedding day.
For guests, it is both an experience and a personal wedding favour: the fun of watching a live artist at work, followed by an original artwork to take home as a reminder of the celebration.
For couples who would like to preserve a larger part of their wedding story, Lida La Luna Art also offers live wedding paintings and commissioned artworks. A meaningful scene, beautiful wedding venue or favourite moment can become an original piece of art created especially for the couple.
No two weddings look or feel exactly the same, and we believe the art created for them should reflect that. Each booking is therefore approached individually, taking into account the couple’s vision, guest numbers, venue, location and wedding timeline.
