Magical Moments

The day started with spending time with my Sister at the Crystal hotel in Canal walk in an amazing room overlooking the mountain. Where we were pampard with our hair and makeup. We then made our way to the ceremony together. A beautiful day spent with close family and friends...

We then met with all after for some amazing photos on Signal hill with the whole family. Were my sister soon left to go to albania to live and work. It was a memorable time as it was our last day together.

The Honeymoon

We had an adventure for a week on our Honeymoon. Our Honeymoon was super special as we traveled to two venues around Western Cape. Our first stop was in Montagu in the mountains at a cute place called Roodekloof cottage no. 5 which was perfect as we could see the mountains and nature as we looked out the window. We then traveled around and explored Montagu of all it's beautiful place and wine farms that we could go too.

We then made our way to our next venue which was spectacular regards to the views. A place called Hakuna Matata Game farm. This place was so special as we could hear the lions roar early in the morning. We had a beautiful spot where each morning we sat for breakfast and evening braai's. We went on a safari in the evening which was extremely beautiful. We explored the small towns such as Mossel bay, Knysna, George, Hartenbos, and Groot/klein Brak river. We even tried their local meat at the butchery which was amazing.

My Special Day

The theme dusty blue and terracotta. We have a balloon arch and flowers where we sat under for our ceremony. The bridesmaids dresses were dusty blue of different shades and styles. My wedding dress was simple with a bow which was brought from Once worn Bridal. Jace was amazing as she gave me confidence to wear a dress that was fitted to show my curves. Which worked well with the rest of the items I wore. Shoes were white wedges from Cotton on. Hair was done by Lia and her friend did my makeup Ansu who worked well in doing my makeup. Jewellery and Lingerie I received as a gift from my Mom (Spiritual mom) She supported me from the beginning and was there throughout the planning.

The Venue

Our venue was not like any other venue due to Covid and not everyone having the vaccination. We had the venue at our little flatlet which was big enough for close family But we got legally married in Pretoria at Congo Embassy and went out for a small dinner. Do to me Having Covid a week before our actual wedding date we had to postpone our wedding a week later.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

Every morning and evening I made sure to moisturize my skin for that glowy skin with Simple Bee Moisturizer and night cream. I made sure to take vitamin B complex to help with my overall health. I made appointments with my local Spa In Seapoint The loft Spa. They made sure I looked good regards to my Nails and other things for my big day. Just Peachy made sure my hair was perfect and coloured just right.

Wedding Elements

We did not have a big wedding like everyone else. We kept it small and supported local small businesses... We have flowers that where done locally from a friend with a small business Heidi. Our cake small vegan/Gluten free carrot cake was done by Homemade by Cammy. Which was delicious and looked beautiful.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

They each wore their own suit that they chose that would suit them but stayed in the colour scheme of dark blue and grey. The groom wore a dark blue suit from euro suit which we brought on sale and red tie and brown shoes. Grooms accessories was from his father. Which was special.

We did not have a planner as we planned everything ourselves and had help from family and friends.

Our wedding transport was my sister and her car namd bumble bee as it's a yellow car. Then we had our car which gave up problems on the day of the wedding. OH no!! It was an experience and a half... Depleted battery
