It was suppose to be a summer fling but we quickly realised that we couldn't leave it at that. Now we joke that our relationship is just a 5 year long fling. We are each other's best friend and partner in crime. We saved each other from spiralling depression.
He says it only took him a month to plan and that it was a struggle to keep a secret. He proposed at a family gathering on Christmas eve. It was intimate and perfect. We then proceeded to have a huge engagement party at my parent's house. And we have a gopro video to relive the moment.
