Unfortunately due to a break-in after our wedding we had to postpone our honeymoon.
We had a steampunk wedding theme. My dress was bought from Bride and Co, as it was to big a week before the wedding my boss upstyled the dress to fit with the steampunk theme. I upstyled my wedding boots with gears to fit the theme. Jewellery was handmade by my belated mom, and I bought the pocket watches from wish...My husband designed my bouquet himself, he added proteas and keys and gears to it. I also had a pair of steampunk glasses and a steampunk hat.

I had two facials prior to the wedding, one 5 weeks before the wedding and the other a week before. I had my lashes done at the same spa, Heartleaf Wellness spa in Welkom. I had my nails done two days prior to the wedding.
Decor was steampunk themed. I painted an octupus from Mr Price with copper for a vintage effect. I made all tge murial hangings from old Styrofoam I recycled from work. I recycled glass bottles and added pictures of gears and old clocks. We did not spend a cent on flowers as I got lavender from a friends house, eucaluptus leaves from our own garden, pampass grass and Straletzias from a friendly neighbor.
My husband got his boots from Woolworths and his jacket from Truworths, I upstyled the clothing items with gears to fit the theme. His petticoat was handmade by my boss and I made their bowties. We got his son some suspenders and his boots was also upstyled with gears. My husband had a steampunk hat and his son a pair of steampunk glasses.
I got the bridesmaid dresses from Miladys. They were turquoise with beautiful beading.

We waltzed on Ed Sheerans Perfect and Tangoed on Roy Orbison's Pretty Woman. We had dance lessons from our Local dance legend and South African Champion. Johan Bakker. We hired DJ Louis for the music and special effects.
