Magical Moments

It was a beautiful sunny day. My husband to be and I were so excited to see how everything would turn out as we planned the entire wedding by ourselves. We were so pleased with our wedding attire and to see each other all dressed up as we had picked the outfits and coordinated them ourselves. When we arrived at the wedding venue, we were so happy to see all of our close friends and family that turned up to celebrate our special day, we were thrilled with the decor and set up and the beautiful wedding cake. The MC ensured everything ran smoothly and really entertained the guests. The funniest part of the day was when the program was over and we had to meet our photographer at the photo shoot venue and we realized that everyone had left us and we didn't have transport to reach the venue. Everyone had forgotten about us. We were literally the last to leave our wedding venue. We eventually had to call my sister in law to save the day and take us to the photo shoot venue

The Honeymoon

My husband and I were really looking forward to going to Bali for our honeymoon, it would have been our first trip overseas together. However, due to the Covid restrictions, we were not able to travel out of the country. Instead we opted to go the the beautiful city of Cape Town. We indulged in wine tasting, visited the V&A waterfront, went on a seal cruise, visited Table mountain and sent a day lounging at the lovely Camps Bay Beach.

My Special Day

I wore a beautiful dark red, velvet Lehenga with sparlking gold and peach workings. My outfit was draped in a modern, fusion North-South Indian style. My wedding jewellery consisted of gold, green, maroon and pearl details which complimented my outfit while adding a modern touch. I wore my hair in an upstyle with red roses and little white flowers.

The Venue

We were married at the Shree Veeraboga Emperumal Temple Hall in Tongaat, KwaZulu-Natal.

My Captured Moments

I selected Tyrone Govender Photography to capture my special day. I received an excellent service and I was awestruck when I saw the beautiful photographs which captured my day perfectly. I also chose to video the day and added a highlight video which captured the important moments of the day in a short 2 minute video.

Wedding Transport

DropTop Events Car Hire was chosen for my transport to the wedding venue. I went with a striking red Mustang convertible with additional gold and black ribbons and number plate with my name.

Food & Cake

I hired Suntide Decor and Catering to decorate the wedding venue and prepare the lunch which was served after the wedding. We had a traditional vegetarian breyani with dhal, salad and sooji. The wedding cake was designed and baked by Nicoles Signature Cakes. I had chosen a 2 tier, elegant white wedding cake with striking red sugar peonies. The cake had a tier of vanilla genoise with strawberry and vanilla cream filling and a second tier of red velvet cake with cream cheese icing filling. The icing on the cake was a topper which read "Mr&Mrs Velloo".
