Our day was everything and more that we, I, could've ever wanted. as a little girl I did not dream about every little detail of my wedding. the only wish that I had was to get hitched to the love of my life on our family farm.
when my dad gave the "go ahead" our dreams started to fall in place. as the farm is not a set wedding venue and my parents are "off the grid", meaning; no Eskom power, water from the mountain and no cell reception and the farm is +- an hour from the nearest town, Steytlerville, it was quite a mission to get the whole wedding in motion. this is why our day was so truly very special, all our loved ones made the day precisely as I, we, dreamt it would be. my father literally moved grounds, built a roof, and my word so much more, and this in one of the Karoo's worst droughts ever.
we got married in my mothers garden, all the guests camped in tens provided on the grounds and we danced the night away under the breathtaking starry night. most of our providers was friends and locals offering to help.
it was just perfect.
The significant other surprised me with a week after in the Garden Route.
