Magical Moments

The highlight for me was the skype call to my mother in-law (new mommy) :-) because of the pandemic travelling was not allowed and she couldn't make it for our big day but when we had the call for almost 30 - 45min we definitely could feel her presence. Best memorable moments was the ceremony, us lighting up our unity candles confirming that we are now one flesh. Our photos, the people that was there to share the moments with us, they are so dear to our hearts and last but not least both myself and my husband do not have fathers anymore, they have passed on years ago. My sister Maxine was so thoughtful and made personalised candles with their names on it and we lit them up the whole night in memory of our loved ones who has left our homes but not in our hearts.

The Honeymoon

Unfortunately we didn't go on honeymoon due to the pandemic. We might go within a year or 2 when all is stable and a little normal again.

The Venue

Covid 19 was so bad that all church services was prohibited and we decided to get married in the comfort of our own house. We had 20 guests who witnessed our exchange of the vows and had them all over at our house for a nice warm dinner seeing that it was in the heart of winter.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

So sad that we couldn't go to any spas or facials at the time because of the pandemic and that all services providers were closed. My maid of honor Istique Parker was thoughtful she brought me a gift 100 days before the big day with a bag full of Sorbet goodies and with that I pampered myself at home.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

Because of the pandemic I couldn't use all my bridesmaids and only had to use my maid of honor and my flower girl.
The flower girl's dress was made by Paula Vermeulen who made my dress and the maid of honor bought her dress by YDE Menlyn. The them was rose gold black and white so I asked them to wear black dresses.

The Reception and Entertainment

We took dance lessons while we were in lockdown so we had a few moves that we pulled of that night. We decided not to hire a Dj but it was also not too quiet either, my husband's friend William came with a wedding gift the day prior and it was the biggest JBL speaker you can ever imagine. We had my brother in-law Adiel that coordinated the music for us whole night.
