My highlight was getting married to Krien. My best friend, my human.
I felt an incredible sense of calm that day, and enjoyed every moment - especially the little moments we got to steal to ourselves throughout the day. Also, having friends and family in our new hometown made it even more memorable - for many of us, this was the last time we all got to spend time together before lockdown.
Clubmed Bali... We were lucky enough to have made it just before lockdown!

Our theme was rustic romance - it was the day after Valentine's Day too.
Colours ranged from deep reds and blues, rose gold, blushing pinks and rustic wooden accents.

We planned and co-ordinated our big day ourselves. I think this made everything that much more special to us.
Canapes and the Reception 3-course meal was prepared by our venue.
We had a 3-tier semi nude cake made by Delana's Cakes. Each layer had our favourite flavours - vanilla sponge with a chocolate and fudge filling, a red velvet sponge with a cream cheese filling and lastly an amazing carrot cake sponge also with a cream cheese filling. The cake was amazing and got wiped out by our guests by the end of the reception!

We designed our own stationery with the help of Etsy.com, while the printing was done by Minuteman Press.
We hade some special personalised rustic items such as our Mr & Mrs table sign, wishing well box, engraved hangers, infinity ring box and guest book made by Rustic Laser Art.
The personalised water bottles that we provided our guests with were done by Primi Water.
We bought little hessian favour bags from Sugar Bird for our reception, and personalised gift bags from UBA Corporate Gifts for our ceremony.
We came up with the choreography for our first dance.
