In the heart of the Limpopo bushveld, so our most memorable day begun the morning of 22 February 2020 at Bordeaux Game Farm. It was a hot, sunny and open sky day. Just what any bride wish for on their wedding day. While the bridal party was getting ready with champagne and canapes, the groom and groomsmen enjoyed a fulfilled morning of clay pigeon shooting followed by a adventurous game drive. As the golden hour arrived our ceremony begun in the middle of the bushveld under a breathtaking story telling Maroela tree. Filled with excitement, joy, tears and happiness... there we proclaimed our love and exchanged vows to one another. As the sun set, our guests enjoyed unique canapes, a gin bar and live music by Neil Somers while we had our wedding photos taken in a romantic setting surrounded by olive trees. For the first time, Mr and Mrs Zeelie were announced and so the celebration started. Our intimate wedding of 80 guests were perfect for 2 long table settings at the reception. With earthy, neutral colors... hanging olive and eucalyptus branches above the tables sure made a statement. Delicate white garden roses, orchids, peonies and tulips arranged by Louise Artistry complimented the elegant stationary from Secret Diary. We enjoyed a 5 star plated dinner with a mouth watering dessert table. The show stopper was by far a delicious milktart cheesecake. We danced and celebrated the night away with our close family and friends until we were blessed with a rainstorm just after midnight struck. So our special day came to a blessed end. What a memorable day it was. We will cherish this day forever and always.
We were very lucky to go on a unforgettable honeymoon in Bali, and came back just before the national lockdown was announced.
I wanted to have a very natural clean look, as I know this is what my husband like as well. My hair was arranged in a sleek modern low bun done by Angelique Nel. My makeup was done by the very talented Missy Makeup Artist and went for a neutral, clean, simplistic look. My wedding dress was even more then what I expected it to be! It was custom designed and made by Kobus Dippenaar Designer. I wanted something dramatic with a extra long veil. I knew this was not going to be practical throughout the reception. So we decided to do a low V-cut with hand beaded detail on top. The wedding dress had a simple yet elegant design from the waist down. Then came the dramatic beautiful sheer overskirt with a beaded belt to finish it off. My wedding shoes were just out of this world... it was custom designed by Elli Nicole Shoes. It was a white leather court shoe with a small heel, to be comfortable to walk and dance the night away. it had similar hand beaded lace and beads design on the sides of the front shoes. Wedding lingerie/gowns was from Lagom Robes. I had the most beautiful hairpins, garter and earrings from Designer Casey Jeanne. Definitely something you can pass on into the family someday and add sentimental value!

I went for regular facials starting 8 months before the wedding at House of Finesse. I moved to Nimue skincare line. I exercised 2-3 times a week and did not follow any specific diet, just cut out sugar and bread. I also went for a few "tan-can" sessions just to have a summer glow.
All the flowers were arrange by Louise Artistry, as well as the table setting. Grey linen tablecloths hired from The Table Cloth Hiring Company in Pretoria. Elegant touch of gold glasses and cutlery were rented by All things Wedding. Our beautiful stationary were designed and printed by Secret Diary Stationary in CT. All candles were made by Alet Kleinhans, Candle Lite SA. Other décor items such as underplates, vases, lights, furniture were supplied by Bordeaux venue.

The very talented Garreth Barclay from Barclay Studios captured our day perfectly. Even though we are couple that are not so comfortable in front of the cameras they made us feel so comfortable and really impressed us with all the photos. We had a short high lighted video that was captured by White Light Photography. We did not have a photo booth.

Bordeaux Game Farm went out of their way to assist us with a plated menu. It was truly a 5 star meal! We had a selection of unique desserts. Our wedding cake was made by Louise Artistry. It was a delicious chocolate and vanilla mix cake with buttercream frosting. It had beautiful buttercream flower designs on and was absolutely devine! Believe it or not... there was not a single crumble left of the wedding cake!

We had a live band, Neil Somers at our canape area were the gin bar was set up outside in the courtyard over looking on the bushveld horizon. This kept all the guest entertained while we were busy taking wedding photos. We decided against a DJ for the reception, instead we asked every guest to request 3 songs they want to hear at the wedding on the wedding RSVP and from there we created a wedding playlist that played throughout the night. This worked really well because everyone could dance to a song they love. We literally did not practice our first dance! We said that we want it to come from the heart and be special almost like we would slow dance with each other when no one is watching, and it was perfect!
