Magical Moments

The biggest highlight of my wedding was the dance with my father. It was an intensely emotional moment for us. We laughed and cried. I love my father to bits.

I had a lot of fun running around, chatting to all my friends and family.

The most memorable moments were when my brother became my Made of Honor and took care of a the little things that did not need to concern me on the day. He was my rock.

And the best moment seeing my husband's face in the chapel, half smiling, all eyes on his bride.. Amazing

My Special Day

My wedding hair, half updo was styled by Hannelien at Hair Studio in Witbank, MP

My makeup was done by Jhay Botha also from Hair Studio.

My dress was designed and made by Nicky Storbeck from Brides and Blooms.

The Venue

The Oakhouse Lodge, Ogies, Mpumalanga

Most of our guests did not stay the night. But accommodations are available at the lodge.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I exercised everyday. I followed a 'Walk at Home' plan. We were also on a pretty strict banting diet.
I did not get any teeth whitening done.
I got a enzyme facial the day before the wedding, Michelle Grobler at Hannah Microblading and Beauty .

My Groom And His Groomsmen

The groom and groomsmen wore black chinos with red, long sleeved shirts that we bought at a local store.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

We had a local seamstress make the dresses for the bridesmaids. They wore red hi-low dresses

Marriage Officer

Hendrika Otto.

My Captured Moments

My brother, and best friend is a wonderful photographer.
He is the owner of Lambi P Productions.
We did not want a photo booth.

The Wedding Planner

No wedding planner. We did it ourselves, but the venue set everytging up on the day

Wedding Transport

No transport. There is a chapel at the venue

Food & Cake

The Oakhouse Lodge prepared the food.

Nicky Storbeck at Brides and Blooms, who is a close family friend, baked our cake and cupcakes.

Wedding Stationery

Lambi P Productions designed most of the stationery.

Trou Tierlantyntjies designed and printed our fans which had all the details of the day.

The Reception and Entertainment

We did not take dance lessons. We just learned to dance with each other. My husband does not love dancing so we did not feel the need to go all out.

DJ Bushmonkey, Tonie van Niekerk, was our DJ. He had lights and a smoke machine that created a lovely atmosphere for photos.
