Magical Moments

Walking down the aisle with both my father and my step father was definitely one of my favourite memories of my wedding day. Our first dance was also not your ordinary dance! As a ballet and contemporary dancer I choreographed our routine with some amazing lifts and turns. My husband's speech was also very special, special words we'll never forget.

The Honeymoon

Our honeymoon was made up of three parts, first we went to Magalies Park Nature Resort in Hartbeespoort for the weekend. The second part of our honeymoon we traveled all the way to Ballito KZN where we checked in at La Montagne Resort for the week. Lastly we spent a day in Mooi Rivier where my aunt stayed in the beautiful mountains.

My Special Day

My make-up was professionally done by the amazing Roselle Jacobs. I had 2 wedding dresses. My first was a white ball gown with champagne lace details and a flowery corset. After the reception I wore my second wedding dress which was an all white soft flowing dress with a 1m train and a lace see-through corset and silver beading. My veil was a 4m lace cathedral veil altered by my godmother and designer Mienie Schuerger.

The Venue

We got married at Zakopane Country Village in Brits, North West. There was accommodation for the guests within walking distance of the chapel and the hall.

Wedding Elements

We had a rustic theme and therefore required a lot of greenery with hints of red. We used the amazing Werner from The Floral Artist in Brits.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

The groom wore a navy blue tuxedo with a royal blue waistcoat and a white long sleeved shirt. The best man also wore the same waistcoat with a navy blue chino from Mr Price. All the groomsmen wore the navy blue chinos with white long sleeved button up shirts all from Mr Price. They each got a boutonniere with some white baby breath and a red rose.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

My bridesmaids' dresses were inspired by my dance studio's name: Infinity. They wore baby blue infinity dresses with ballet pointe shoes as they danced down the aisle on "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri.

Marriage Officer

The Kuiker kerk in Hartbeespoort's pastor: Anton van Zyl

My Captured Moments

We used Robyn Gardner as our photographer, and her package included a photo booth. We used Jaun Buys from Eventful Media as our videographer, and I must say the highlight video was just WOW!

The Wedding Planner

My mom did, she owns 'Harties Events Specialists"

Wedding Transport

We used my parents BMW

Food & Cake

Our food was a buffet included by the venue. Our wedding cake was made by Estie Siebert.

Wedding Stationery

We designed it all ourselves and it was printed by Berma Graphics in Hartbeespoort.

The Reception and Entertainment

Our first dance was choreographed by myself as I am a dancer and dance coach. It was magical as we danced to Roan Ash's "Heaven". We used EMC Productions and Xander was our super awesome DJ!
