Magical Moments

Our Day really started with a testimony! It started waay before the wedding day, we experienced many hurdles through the journey as everyone knows, 2020 was a difficult year for Brides around the globe. My fiancé proposed to me on the 9th of December 2017 and we eventually started planning for the 4th of April 2020. We documented our journey leading up to the date, then was heartbroken 2 weeks before our wedding when we had to postpone due to the COVID-19 and the Global lockdown.

During that time, we prayed and trusted God. We tried to focus on each other rather than the wedding, there were very painful moments during this time, yet God always reassured us.

Finally we had good news and started planning again for the 10th of October 2020. All I can say is all Glory to God. Our highlight moments from our day was the presence of God that flowed throughout the day, when I walked down the Isle looking at my husband crying and so much of love in his eyes. When we hugged and almost kissed before the pastor could say we could, haha we couldn't wait. One epic moment from the day was walking out the ceremony and we both had to hide in a tiny storage room and talk for the first time, let me just say that my dress was HUGE!!! We were so excited and we stuffed ourselves in there until our guests made an arch outside, waiting to congratulate us. We spoke and could not get over how amazing our day already was, my husband gushed over me, telling me how stunning I was and I did the same. We laughed so much in there and it really was a special moment for us. The rest of the day was nothing short of excellence, we had a beautiful photoshoot, an epic reception and my darling husband surprised me with a dance together with He's groomsmen, which is trending on social media and going viral. We danced the night away and ended with a magical starlight sparkler exit. A fairytale day which will never be forgotten, God made a promise and exceeded our expectations!

The Honeymoon

We did! We went on honeymoon for a week. On the night of our wedding, we stayed at the beautiful honeymoon suite at our venue The secret garden, then checked in the day after to Anew hotel Hilton in Pietermaritzburg, we stayed there for 1 night and checked in the following day at umhlanga Sands Resort for the duration of our week. It was absolutely amazing.

The Reception and Entertainment

We actually practiced an entire dance routine however my dress was too big, so we skipped the big bang dance which a beautiful friend of ours "Sue" had choreographed for us, and danced to our small steps and this felt so intimate and beautiful.

My groom surprised me with a killer dance! Our MC was Ms Desire Peter's @Dezafrika on Instagram , she rocked the reception with laughter and games.

We had a DJ which amped the night up, never a dull moment. We also had a dance party before we all could part ways. Kesavan Naicker and team (Durban based)
