Magical Moments

My favourite memory was walking down the isle with uncontrollable tears of joy running down my polished cheeks when I made eye contact with my husband. That moment of realising we are finally here, after a few years of challenges and saving up for our special day.

Seeing and spending time with our family and friends at our wedding was one of the biggest gifts one could ask for.

Normally wedding speeches can be dragged out and be a bit over the top, but I must say, the speeches at our wedding was nothing like that. The speeches were meaningful and really beautiful.

The Venue

We got married in the Garden Route at a beautiful picturesque venue named Down to Earth which is located in Herolds Bay.

Wedding Elements

Our décor and flowers was everything I imagined and more.

Liezl at Affordable Decor & Functions in George is skillful, reliable and very creative.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

The groom's perfect fitted suit was custom made by Tux Tailor in Houtbay.

The groomsmen wore beret caps from Woolworths and cross straps over their white long sleeved collar shirts.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

My bridesmaids wore baby-blue infinity dresses. Infinity dresses are very popular and easy to style according to the bridesmaids needs, therefore we decided to choose them.

Marriage Officer

The one and only Pastor L Davis.

My Captured Moments

Salt & Light Photography based in George
captured our wedding day photos.

The Wedding Planner

My mother dearest and I planned everything by ourselves. It was definitely exciting and nerve wrecking at the same time, but we were up for the challenge.

My awesome aunty and our MC coordinated on the day and applied damage control measures where needed... As we all know, something always goes wrong, but that makes us laugh about it 10 years down the line.

Food & Cake

The delicious and scrumptious food was prepared by the venue's catering services, Down to Earth.

Wedding Stationery

I designed the save-the-date and invitations myself. The table names and gift favours were designed by Vetplantjieaddict, a local business in Cape Town.

The Reception and Entertainment

Our first and only dance lesson happened in our tiny lounge on the day we initially planned to get married. We decided that night, that we will not rehearse at all, as it is all about having fun together... And that's exactly how it turned out. Our first dance was filled with odd turns and a few off-beat steps, but it was perfect for us. We felt our love for each other in that moment.

Our sound, lighting and music was done by the one and only Shaza. She was also our MC. Not only is she a vibrant and talented soul, but she is really a jack of all trades.
