Magical Moments

The highlights of my wedding were:

1) When I saw my husband standing at the aisle waiting for me.
2) When we were pronounced husband and wife.
3) When he had to take off the garter (I secretly had a shocking pink panty wrapped around the garter the whole day until he took it off)

The Honeymoon

My aunt was booked in for a whole week at Hazyview Cabanas, but could not say there after the wedding, so they gifted us with the week. Due to our finance, we could not afford a honeymoon, so we were very grateful for the gift.

The Venue

We got married at a small venue outside of Sabie that is owned by York Timbers. The venue's name is Maggsleigh Dam.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I did not do all the pampering, I went through a very rough time up to the wedding ( My father passed away in June, and had to relocate my mother to Sabie the week before the wedding). So my pampering was being on the road and busy getting everything in order. I had a nice warm bubble bath the morning of the wedding though lol.

Wedding Elements

The coloured organza we bought at Valencia in Nelspruit.
The white chair covers we borrowed from a lady my mother-in-law knows.
The tent my father-in-law rented from a guy that he knows.
The chairs we borrowed from a lady that does catering in our church.
All the cutlery we borrowed from my husband's aunt that works the Hotel Business.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

Grooms Clothes: Mr Price & Markhams.
Grooms shoes: Jet
Grooms wedding ring: Handmade by himself.

No, everything was planned by me and inlaws.

Wedding Transport

The wedding car was an Orange Unimog - The owner is Danie Roux

Food & Cake

We had a "skaap spitbraai", the salads were made by us and we had cupcakes for a wedding cake. I made the cupcakes and one of my husband's aunts did the decorating of the cupcake.

Wedding Stationery

We bought a guest book at Bride and Co, and the pen was a Parker pen I got from my father before he died.

The Reception and Entertainment

We did not have a huge reception, just a small gathering like a barbeque at someone's house, there was music playing but no one danced ( It was freezing cold that day)
