How did your love story begin?

Strange enough... My fiance and I started chatting on social media. It took us a couple months to pluck up the courage to finally meet each other. Mind you before this stage we had not even exchanged cellphone numbers.
Haha a funny story this. I had gotten home from and tried to message him to confirm our 'smoothie date'. He didn't respond and there was no way I was about to be stood up. So I literally layed down in bed... Being all upset... And then got a message to ask where I was. I literally got my butt off my bed and drove to the location. Lucky enough I didn't live to far away.

When I saw him the first thought that ran through my head was, 'I could definitely date you'. Of course I never said that out loud.
Haha... He walked over to me and kissed me on the cheek. Took my handbag and offered me a seat.
We went on to have our smoothies and decided to take a walk to the water fountain outside the Grande D'oreal hotel. It was a beautiful still summer night and we sat there talking for hours... Until we had realized the time and decided to part ways.
Need I say... I saw him everyday afterwards

Tell us all about the proposal.

It was December 31st, 2017. Started of as a normal summer day. We had gone out to the park with the family that afternoon and then spent the evening at my partners families house in celebration to the new year.
My Mr had something up his sleeve. He decided we had to leave to go back home. Get dressed and go out for drinks... When mind you we were at a braai with ample drinks(hes not even a big drinker)
The whole drive and whilst getting ready he seemed to be in a state of panic lol (bless him).
Eventually we got dressed and he began to drive.. Looking at the route I became suspicious as to were we were going and I asked him if we were going to emperors Palace. He responded by saying yes. He said to me that I wanted to see the garden of lights so he thought he'd take me there. Only to get there and find that it had already been closed.
I could see the disappointment in his eyes. Nevertheless, we went on to have a drink at Aurelias. Which I hesitated as I had thee most incredible headache ever.
He ordered me a martini and got himself a soda and said, 'let's take a walk'.
Walking over to the water fountain in absolute darkness.... What was this guy up to, I thought.
He sat down first to clean the bench before I sat and then he sat next to me.
He put his arm around me and told me how much he loves me and how happy I made him. He reminded me of what he told me the first day we met. He told me that he will date me and 3 months later he told me he will marry me. He gradually woke up and kneeled before me. He took my hand and told me he wants to spend forever with me. Put his hand in his pocket. Pulled out a ring and asked me to be his wife. I balled my eyes out and just wouldn't let go of him.
Haha I couldn't even see my ring as it was completely dark. I had to pull out my phone to take a picture to see it.

This was thee most thoughtful, heartfelt proposal and I wouldn't change a thing. So special that he would think of this. As this was the fountain we sat at the night we first met. He's my absolute joy.
