Magical Moments

One of the highlights of our wedding day was when I was busy with my hair and makeup, my mom came to ask me that my soon to be husband was standing outside and that he would like to pray for our marriage and our future before we walk down the aisle. I was standing behind a curtain and he was standing on the other side. My parents and his parents were there as well as my bridal party. The moment that he touched my hand was the moment that everything felt so real and that in that moment I knew that for the rest of my love, I will have a husband that will always support me, always be there for me, to love and cherish me and that I have someone that I want to spent the rest of my life with. All of the emotions I was feeling was so overwhelming and knowing that he was there right by my side made it the best day of my life.

The Honeymoon

Yes we did go on honeymoon. My husband surprised me with a honeymoon to Mauritius. I did not know where we were going till the moment we had to board. He kept everything super secretive and when we had to check in, he even told the staff at the airport that it is a surprise and everybody played along.

My Special Day

My wedding look was based on my season of the year as well as the colors of my wedding. I have never been a girl that likes sparkly and big things so I opted for something that was stylish, rustic and classic. The dress I chose was a beautiful Enzoani dress and the dress name was Livvie. When they slipped the dress over me and I saw myself in the mirror, I just new that that is the dress that I was dreaming about since being a little girl. It had no sparkly bits or wasn't exceptionally extravagant but it had this beautiful leave embellishment and the lace on top of that made me feel like the prettiest girl in the world. My hair and makeup was also done in a classic way. I have always wanted my hair to be up and show off the dress. My makeup was bold but I wanted a look, especially in winter to stand out. And that also why I wanted a dark lip to emphasize to classic and stylish look.

The Venue

We got married at Meulstroom which is situated in Bronkhortspruit. It was a weekend wedding so 90% of the wedding arrived on the Friday and left on the Sunday. They stayed at the venue which also has a lodge that forms part of the venue.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

My beauty regime leading up to the wedding was that I had facial every 3 weeks as well as sunbed and I tried to train at my crossfit gym for at least 3 times a week and still did competitions in between. I went for two full day spa treatments before the wedding. I had one, one month before the wedding and the other one two days before the wedding.

Wedding Elements

My decor I tried to be as minimal as possible. I opted for Burgundy, Rose Gold and Navy for my table and flowers. We had eucalyptus leaves on the table with a touch of the burgundy flowers. I also made specific place mats for the table which gave the guests just a bit more information about the wedding couple. The stage was done by the venue itself and I only supplied the monogram. The lighting was done by the DJ - AMA Productions.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

The grooms wore rented suits that we rented at The Dress Suit. The shoes that they wore was bought at Mr Price and their shirts at Woolworths. The groom wore cuff links that was monogrammed for him by myself.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

The color of the dress was easy to choose as I have always loved the color Burgundy. The dresses were long dresses that had a three-quarter long sleeve but it was covered with lace. The shoes that they wore was from Mr Price and the jewelry was from Lovisa.

Marriage Officer

The marriage officer was Johan Terrblanche from Doxa Deo Brooklyn.

My Captured Moments

The photographer was Simone Schoeman Photography and the Videographer was CJ Concepts. We also had a photobooth that was done throught Sitombe Photobooths.

All of these service providers made us feel like we were the only people on the earth. They made such a great effort to capture every moment and I can't thank them enough for everything that they have done for us. The photos that we have seen so far are out of this world beautiful.

The Wedding Planner

The planner at Meulstroom Venue was the person that helped me in such a great way to coordinate the day. Her name is Vivia.

Food & Cake

The food for the wedding was done by the venue which was absolutely amazing.

The wedding cake was done by Sweet Joy. We received so many compliments afterwards for the cake. It was stunning and tasted great.
