Magical Moments

Being able to spend our new journey together with all our family and friends that we adore so much. Having each and everyone one of them there meant the world to us, we would not have had it any other way. Creating all the special memories we did on the day - crying, laughing and dancing. Seeing my husband crying rivers when he first saw me, to my dad making me laughing the whole way down the aisle and saying I do - I could not have asked for a better day, it was more than I could have ever imagined.

The Honeymoon

We were fortunate enough to be gifted our honeymoon to Hong Kong and majority of Bali, was the most amazing experience being able to travel with the love of my life.

My Special Day

I was never phased by what my hair would look like, however I knew that I had been growing it for years and wanted it down with really soft curls. It turned out so much better than I could have ever hoped for thanks to Candice Rossouw.
I was in two minds about getting a dress made or bought, until I went to my first consultation at Vonvé Bridal, the team did everything to make me feel like a princess and help me find the dress of my dreams and boy did they do that, it was the most beautiful dress I have ever seen, the detail to the lace and beading was out of this world. It’s like me just in a dress version, I didn’t think it could happen but I cried when I tried it on and at every fitting I went to after that.
I always wanted to wear an encrusted, red sole princess type shoe - and Louboutin had me in love with their pair.
My earrings were from Vonvé Bridal, they weren’t the typical bridal earring but they were perfect, I love them.
My make up was done by Artistry by Dyllan, I loved his bold style. I didn’t want the typical soft makeup and gave Dyllan the go ahead to do what he thought would look best and he did just that. He is the best of the best!

The Venue

We got married at Memoire Wedding Venue in Mulderdrift. We fell in love with the venue as soon as we stepped into the premises, from the well looked after green gardens, beautiful water features, a fairytale forest that lead to the most beautiful glass chapel and the exquisite detailed suites made it a picture perfect venue for our special day. Jaco and his team at Memoire made every visit as special as the first, the entire experience is one to remember.
Memoire have a limited amount of their own rooms allowing most of our guests to stay the night.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I didn’t have one particularly for the wedding, other than training harder than I did. I did however try a new treatment called Dermaplaning Facial about 6 months before the wedding.

Wedding Elements

For the wedding we wanted an all white elegant wedding with a touch greenery, crystal and a touch of gold. I love candles, I feel it creates such an atmosphere of a space. The reception was filled with them. We wanted minimal flowers on the day and Khali Collins and her team went above and beyond to make that possible. The Wedding Specialist really did everything to make our vision come to life. They were so easy to work with and made every effort to accommodate us. It was everything we could have ever wished for. Absolutely beautiful!!

My Groom And His Groomsmen

We wanted a very simplistic yet classy look with regards to the retinue. The groom himself wore a black tuxedo with a satin colour, black bow tie and white shirt with black buttons to compliment the entire look from Khaliques. The groomsmen got the grey detailed suits and white shirts from Woolworths. The bow ties were custom made to compliment the blue/grey tone of the Bridesmaids dresses.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

I wanted the girls to look elegant, that’s where I decided to bring in the blue/grey colour into the wedding. They wore a off the shoulder, tight bodice and slim flow skirt that was custom made for them by Pantha_Em. They all looked absolutely stunning!

Marriage Officer

Ryan Hogarth was our marriage officer on the day. He was recommended by the ladies that did my flowers and decor. He took the time to get to know my husband and I to make the day extra special. I would recommend him to everyone that is getting married and is looking for someone to captivate your guest.

My Captured Moments

We are so lucky that we found Daniel Meyer from LAFRIQUE Photography, he was able to capture the entire day so naturally. This was difficult as my husband hates taking photos and being told how to pose. Daniel did everything to make us feel comfortable and natural, from the engagement shoot to the actual day. We can’t thank them enough for capturing our day so perfectly.
We used Daniel Mc Geer from Fascination Pictures to do the Videography of our wedding day. He produced the greatest memory that we will cherish forever.
What a way to get the guests to interact with one other and make memories on our special day. The photo booth from Wedding Tunes - Photobooth was a hit. The team were amazing to work with!

The Wedding Planner

Jeanre and Khali from The Wedding Specialist took everything into their own hands when it came to the flowers, decor and placing of the favours. Jaco from Memoire co-ordinated the rest of the day, from when the girls started getting dressed to when my husband had to be at the alter to when I walked down the aisle. He really out did himself and I can’t thank him enough for all that he did.

Wedding Transport

We we offered to use a family friends black with red seats Buick Riviera. It was just perfect.

Food & Cake

The venue itself took care of the most amazing plated food I have ever seen and tasted in my life. It was an art and experience in itself. Big ups to the chef!

Wedding Stationery

A lovely lady by the name of Jessica from Nova Bespoke. She really went out of her way to make sure that the invitations were exactly what I wanted. Her attention to detail from the foiling and colours is amazing. She really takes the effort to get to know you, so she can put a bit of the couple in the invitations. Her invitations were breathtaking and I couldn’t have asked them to look any better than they did.

The Reception and Entertainment

The reception was so much fun.
We took about 3 dance lessons, practiced where we could and then completely blanked out on the day. We didn’t care, we just wanted to have fun and enjoy the moment together while we danced to Ed Sheeran - Kiss Me. I then had my father daughter dance with my dad, no dance lessons needed there my dad is just a pro.
The sound, DJ and lighting was provided for by DJ Manny. He really interacted well with all our guests and made the night one to remember.
