I don’t have one specific highlight, the whole day was so magical! I had a smile on my face throughout! But if I had to pick, it would be when my dad saw me for the first time in my dress all ready for him to walk me down the aisle and then seeing Darren standing waiting for me. We never spend a moment apart so i was so excited to see him and be with him again
We went for a minimoon to Granny Mouse ( we got engaged there so it is our special place) and then to Indigo Fields. He kept this all a secret! He chose Indigo Fields because it’s always been on my bucket list to go. I am so lucky to him in my life!! We are going on honeymoon in December
I’m a beauty therapist so I love hair and makeup, so naturally I would be quite fussy with my look. I went for quite a natural look, except for the pink lips as I love bright lips! My dress I designed with the help of Brit from Brit and Bride who is excellent! She made me feel so comfortable right from the word go. I had seen styles on Pinterest and we went from there. I wish I could wear my dress all day everyday it was so comfortable, and I wanted to make my veil special and meaningful to Darren and I so that’s why I got “D&T 27/07/19 I Love You”
We are both the exact same height to the measurement so I decided on flats, and flats are more comfortable! I chose
Blue as my something blue. And my jewelry I went for rose gold and quite basic as I wanted my dress to stand out more
We got married at Lythwood Lodge in the Midlands. It was the most beautiful winters day and night! Some of our guests stayed at the venue and other stayed on neighboring farms around the areas
Like I mentioned before I am a Beauty Therapist so I have always taken good care of my skin and body. I had a spray tan for the wedding ( I am so pale) I was lucky enough to have my tan done at my work which is Beauty & Beyond
We use E by A (Anne Warman) who was great. We said we wanted a winter warm wedding with red flowers and greenery and wow I was blown away with everything! It was like walking into a winter wonderland with the colours. We also wanted quite Boho/rustic and she definitely got what we were wanting.
The groom and groomsmen for their suits from Suit Yourself. They all hired their suits
Tayla Hamilton made the bridesmaids and flower girls outfits. I wanted them to wear something that they would wear at another occasion so I did a 2 piece and they felt so comfortable and they all went for rose gold jewelry as well
We used a lady by the name of Liz and Mark Strydom did our ceremony on the day
Laura Jean Photography was our photographer. Her and her husband do weddings together, we loved the idea of having 2 photographers so capture both sides of the wedding party at the same time. They are such amazing people and we felt so comfortable with them. Travis Baxter was our videographer and he was super! We definitely had a photo booth! It was a must! We have a wall at home of just photos of us from other weddings and their photo booths so it was just fitting for us to have one of our own. ( we are not vein) haha
Lythwood has their own wedding coordinator. She helped so much
Lythwood made all the food. We had a Harvest Table during Canapés and then they did the mains in the evening. They also supplied all the booze! Roz from Roz’s Beautiful Cakes did our cake and wow it was delicious!!! We had a 3 tier semi naked cake, the bottom layer was Vanilla, middle was Choc Fudge and the third was Red Velvet

We have always been quite a party couple, we met at Tiger Tiger so we love a good party so we chose Jarryd Sunkel from KZN Wedding DJ, he did the sound and lighting. He was excellent! As soon as we got engaged we booked our venue and everything else around our DJ. We made sure we had him. He is the best DJ! As much as we love a good party we can’t dance! We didn’t go for lessons although we should have but that made our first dance that much more special because it was a laugh a minute and I wouldn’t have changed it for a thing!
