Magical Moments

I close my eyes and want to relive so many moments of that day. My mom helping me into my dress, the look on my dad’s face when he saw me as I came down the stairs, my bridesmaids, who were absolute gold, keeping me calm and when I looked into my husband's eyes and said I do. There were many words spoken at the reception that I will treasure forever, especially those of our siblings and then dancing the night away as I kicked my heels off. We even ended our night with a little stop at Starbucks because coffee is always needed. ♥️ and this was only day 1!
Day 2 was like a dream... my bridesmaids all arrived to help get me ready for further celebrations! I got to put on my white dress once again (couldn't be happier) and then get fetched by parents taken to my husband's family home and welcomed with more love than anyone could ask for. My new sisters dressed me in my traditional Zulu outfit and we were ushered outside with singing and dancing. The presentation of gifts to my husband's family then began and it was such a special time. I embraced every moment and considered it an absolute honour.

The Honeymoon

We spent a beautiful, refreshing week in Underberg at Castleburn and then a busy, exciting week bustling around Cape Town and being typical tourists in our own country.

My Special Day

I always knew I wanted the princess, ball gown look and I got it.
My hair was curled, pulled back and cascading down the back with these beautiful extensions adding volume and length. My makeup was a simple bridal look with added touches of gold and and shimmers of highlight. My ball gown was my dream come true with a strapless bodice, intricate beading and full skirt which made me feel like an absolute princess. Lingerie is a secret. ☺️ The only jewelry I wore were large tear drop earrings that picked up the beading on my dress and then a glamorous but simple hair piece with my veil.

The Venue

Our venue was literally all that we had hoped for.. from the light and open chapel to the beautiful surrounding gardens and our large reception hall with a stunning balcony, and our simple but glamorous touches of white and rose gold.

Wedding Elements

We had a fairly big guest list so we kept our decor simple with white and rose gold touches. The venue added to all that we had and the simplicity was beautiful.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

My bridesmaid wore incredible form fitting dresses with a flare at the bottom. They were rose gold sequined and they shimmered my whole day up some more. For day 2 they wore matching traditional dresses. What a picture they were!

Marriage Officer

One of our pastors who we love and are deeply grateful for, Mondli Myeza.

My Captured Moments

Where to begin. Our photographer was absolute PURE GOLD! No coincidence that their company name is Rose Gold and was our colour. They captured moments in time beautifully and were so easy to work with, making us feel comfortable and at ease. Their work is EXCEPTIONAL and so is their service.
