The day was picture perfect, better than I could ever imagine. The highlights of the day was when I received the most beautiful heartwarming letter from my husband, when my mom and dad saw me for the first time and had tears in their eyes, when I heard our song for the first time "Droomvrou" just before walking down the isle, seeing all of the people that I love while walking down the isle and then looking into the face of my husband with tears running down his face.
These moments are so special that I will cherish forever.
My husband took me to the most beautiful, romantic and picture perfect place... The Maldives. Staying in one of the water bungalows with a Jacuzzi on deck.
We had the best time ever, swimming, tanning, catching fish ( a GT and shark), drinking cocktails and eating of course. One for the bucket list

We got married in the small town of Chrissiesmeer at Florence guest farm and wedding venue. It was a weekend wedding so most of the guests stayed over at tge venue itself.
I joined the Nu Human transformation clinic, the best clinic that changed my life and still does. I lost 8 kgs in total.

I wanted to feel like a princess in my own winter wonderland with a bit of a twist. My main flowers was King proteas, roses and greenery. The flowers was done by Pauline @ Blushing bride
The white trees was made by me and my husband ourselves and some of our friends helped too. I used fake snow to create the look and feel of a winter wonderland.
The groom and groomsman got their suits from London Royal in Brooklyn mall.
The accessories came from Tread and Miller.
I wanted to be different and I custom made my bridesmaid dresses at Gelique couture . A flowery a line skirt with navy top long sleeved.

I decided to plan my own wedding.
Food was wonderful and was provided by the venue itself. Tannie Ané, Oom Nico and Thembi made sure we had the best food, guests loved it.
Tannie Pauline made our delicious cake, 3 tiers of carrot, white chocolate mouse and caramel.
Menus, order of events and name cards was designed by Oh yay.
And Allora designed and made the welcome signs and seating chart.

The band we used at our canapés was "'n pel van my"
We did not take dance lessons, even though my husband has 2 left feet. We just practiced a few times just before the wedding.
