Magical Moments

Nothing prepared me for the look on my Fiance's face as I walked down the aisle. His face just beamed with love.

The Honeymoon

We went to Mauritius for a week, right after the wedding

My Special Day

My wedding dress was a combination of East meets West designed by Belles Of Hilton. I wore a white wedding dress with my trane coming off my shoulder to resemble a sari. My dress included gold beading and lace to further add to the Indian theme together with gold crystal studded Steve Madden pumps.
My hair and make up was done by Royal Touch Make up and i wanted to go as natural as I could.

The Venue

We got married in the Garden Venue at the Winchester Function Venue in Reservoir Hills, Durban. Our reception was held at The Monarch Room in the Winchester Function Venue

Wedding Elements

All our decor was handled in house by our venue, The Winchester Function Venue. We has a simple gold, ivory, and white theme, with little touches of blush pink in the floors.
Our wedding ceremony took place under a wrought iron gazebo, cascaded in white and green flowers.
Our reception main table and decor had an abundance of flowers and gold tones. Our stage was a frame of white and blush pink flowers.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

In keeping with our East meets West theme, my groom wore a custom made Black and Gold sherwani, made my B Gangaram Tailors. A sherwani is an indian wedding suit for men. His shoes were also traditional indian men's footwear custom made by the same tailor.
The best man wore a black sherwani purchased from an India fare hosted at the CTICC.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

I had one bridesmaid, my sister who was the maid of honour. She wore a custom made gold long sleeve silk dress with black lade detailing on the bust, back and arms.

Marriage Officer

Our marriage officer was Vincent Pillay, a family friend.

My Captured Moments

Alla Photography and video captured our special day. They were fun, imaginative and their work was impeccable.

The Wedding Planner

I live in Cape Town but was born and raised in KZN, so was my husband. That is why we decided to have our wedding in Durban. I planned every aspect of my wedding alone without the help of a wedding planner and did it all from a different province.

Wedding Transport

Own vehicles used

Food & Cake

We has a four tier white wedding cake with gold ribbons and sugar flowers cascading from the top down.
Each layer was a different flavour, we had carrot, chocolate, lemon and fruit cake. This cake was incredibly delicious and our guests absolutely enjoyed it.

All our food was prepared by our venue. we had a variety of starters, mains and desserts all served as buffet.

Wedding Stationery

Our invitations were a delicate laser cut gold envelope, with two inner cards held together with translucent gold band, created by Elegantly Yours.

The Reception and Entertainment

My reception was a ball of fun. We kept the speeches to a minimum so that we could interact with our guests a little more and take more pictures with our guests.
My father and I opened the dance with our father daughter dance, he then handed me over officially to my new husband and we dance away to Richard Marx, now and forever. We had been practicing our dance for weeks using Youtube tutorials.
Our sound and lighting was done by Lyle d Chellan, who was also our MC. He kept the crowd going all night and had everyone on the dance floor. He was funny and witty and catered to everyone's tastes.
