I must say, the whole day was a highlight and memorable to me. Form the early morning to when we woke up in the hotel. Every one wanted to make me feel like a princess the morning when we were getting ready. But the most memorable moment was the moment I saw my husband for the first time and the were tears rolling down his face. I know I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. For highlights I would say the food was a big highlight and our wedding dance. We trained every day. But we were so nervous halfway through we forgot our dance. But in the end nobody even noticed and we saved the the dance.
We were not planning on going on honeymoon . But on our wedding night we had a big surprise given to us. The company my husband works for planned a honeymoon. We were surprised! A week later we left on our adventure to Durban for a week and stayed at Blue Waters hotel.
I wanted a timeline, elegant and classic look. I did not want to look back on my wedding day and ask what happened? But finding a wedding dress was not so easy as we thought it would be. Finding out that it takes up to 6 months to make one. We had to make a decision on buying a dress I did not like or move our wedding. In the end we moved our wedding. Thanks to Bridal Wardrobe on helping me finding my dream dress. My hair was done by my lifetime hairdresser , Michelle Bennett from Crazy Scissors. She always knows what to do with my hair. My makeup was done by Chane from Blush by Chane. The only easy thing was finding the perfect shoes. I know form the start when I walked into YDE that I would find them. My mom gave us a wedding gift, my lingerie. My jewellery was my grandmother's that she gave to me as a gift.
You won't get a better venue than Shepstone Gardens. And that's why we went with them. Each part af their garden is based on a different part of the world and history. From Spain, German, Dutch and Chinese and all from different eras including Medieval and Catholic. Unique and different setting, this venue truly makes your day special and unforgettable
For health and fitness, I did not have to do much. As my husband and I loved to eat healthy and go to the gym. The day before the wedding I went to be spoiled by Blush by Chane.
Simple, timeless and classic. We had white table cloths with a mirror center. Some rose gold centerpieces and rose gold candles and white and pink roses with some green olive branches. Glass underplates. We had the best lighting as it was the stars that glittered through the glass marquee with Chandeliers. We used Shepstone Gardens' in house decor team.
My husband is tall and big so finding a suit to wear was hard and making one very expensive. In the end, a family member seamstress made the suit for my husband and for the groomsmen, they went with the traditional black suit. We only gave the pink bow ties!!
The bridesmaids wore long flowing dresses that was blush Pink with rose gold. This was the easy part of the wedding thanks to YDE as they have the best bridesmaids dresses.

She timelessly captured our most memorable day. and for years to come, with our look back in our personalised albums and relive every second through the movie
We had a great wedding planner. Karine Antonian, she is Shepstone Gardens wedding planner. She knew just what we wanted and helped us in every manner possible. The day went perfectly. And to be honest, the week going up to our wedding day was hectic. And without our planner I believe the day would have been more stressful and not so enjoyable. So thank you Karine!
Thanks to Taste Explosion, not one of our guests went home hungry. The food was the best and we would get married again just to taste his food again.
For cake we found The Cake Man.
