Magical Moments

Every single moment of our wedding day was so memorable. We took a moment to take everything in before it even happened.
The first highlight was my wedding gift - as a surprise my husband arranged a videographer to capture our whole day which had me in tears seeing as I am someone to always take photographs and videos of all our special times.
-Before walking down the isle whilst I was waiting behind closed doors, hearing the beautiful violin playing in the back ground I was so overwhelmed by emotion and when they opened those doors my husbands face was drowned in tears.
-Taking the most beautiful photographs in the field - it was so intimate, natural and effortless.
- Before we entered the reception where our guests were waiting for our entrance we took a moment and just saw so much joy and happiness among the togetherness of our loved ones.
- Our first dance.

The Honeymoon

For our honeymoon we were so blessed to go to Australia. Before we got married my husband and myself spoke about honeymoon and he was talking about places like Greece, Zanzibar etc. I thought by myself how on earth would we have enough money to be able to go overseas on honeymoon and even to the above mentioned places. He replied - I don't know but that's where we're going and he said that the Lord always follows through for him. So as time went by I didn't get my hopes up and I would honestly be happy with whatever we got to do. A few months went by and we were so blessed by receiving two flight tickets to Australia out of the blue and by having faith we were able to take all our money we've saved up just to use as spending money.
We've had the most amazing honeymoon!

My Special Day

Hair - Carina Oberholzer
Make up - Vicky Swart
Wedding dress - Bride & Co
Lingerie - Studio W
Shoes - Steve Madden
Jewellery - Pandora, American Swiss
Hair combs - Kathleen Barry

My wedding look I was going for was to be as natural yet elegant and bridal as possible. My dress was so whimsical with a beautifully sequenced halter neck bodice that sparkled when ever it caught light with straps running down in an M shape meeting in the lower back and the most stunning ruffles flowing in layers to the bottom forming an A-line silhouette with a medium length train. My hair and make-up was so stunning and much more than I expected. My make-up look was natural with some filled in lashes. My hair had an upside down braid with a lower bun and two handmade lily pins to finish it off beautifully. I had quite high heel shoes, they were extremely comfortable I stayed in them from beginning to end. They we're nude suede of colour with a cute ribbon tied around my ankle. My bracelet was just made of tiny little diamonds to add a bit of sparkle to pick up the sequence of my dresses bodice.

Every single thing came together perfectly.

The Venue

We got married at Lace on Timber situated 10 minutes drive from Bronkhorstspruit. It is the most incredible wedding venue and everything was so perfect. We got married in the chapel with beautiful natural lighting and glass windows. They also have a stunning outside chapel to choose from. Lace on Timber has 11 guest rooms on the property of where your quests can stay up to 22 and have a bridal suite for the bride and groom included in venue hire fee.
The rooms are so modern ad homey. There is also guest houses 500m-2km from the venue which was optional for more guests to stay at.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I had gone for a fabulous spa day with my husband the week before my wedding at woodlands spa in Pretoria. We had the best full body treatment and relaxing experience just before the wedding.
I went for about 5 facials treatments which I did on a monthly basis before. My skin was glowing after that.
I often went to gym just to relax and stay in shape and ate healthy everyday.
I went for 8 sunbed sessions just to be slightly more naturally tanned.

Every single treatment was so worth it,

Wedding Elements

Our wedding venue had quite a lot of basics included like the chairs which were white tiffany chairs, stunning long wooden tables topped with silver cutlery, wine glasses, rose gold underplates and light grey serviettes which was topped with a navy blue bessie. Our tables had high gold candle stands with dusty pink candles, dusty pink tulle table runners and stunning vases filled with pink, navy blue flowers and some greenery. We also had geometric vases filled with candles and bulks hanging over every table with eucalyptus leafs. Mostly we had natural lighting and in the evening fairy lights and candles for a romantic atmosphere.

Marriage Officer

Pastor Harry Ellis. He is such a lovely kind hearted man whom we knew since such a young age in our church community.

The Wedding Planner

My husband and I decided to do everything ourselves, the coordination of the day was done by the venue Lace on Timber and every single thing was so perfect and they did so much more than what was expected and took so well care of us.
