Most memorable moment was standing in front of our friends and family and saying my thank you speech. It's not often we get to see the people we love gathered together and to be to look at everyone and thank the people that have been a part of our lives and journey was special.
To a beautifully hidden lodge called Mount Sheba in Mpumalanga. A very peaceful and tranquil place.
My makeup and hair was inspired by different looks but overall I wanted to achieve a look that was in line with the wedding, elegant and simple. My hair, styled by Khumbu Mngomezulu was romantic but still captured my youthfulness. As for my makeup, it was done by Precious Dlamini from Pree's Beauty Boudoir with a fun pink look that still captured the elegance and simplicity theme.
My dress was one that I fell in love with at first sight right on the mannequin, it fit like a glove with no alterations required, thanks to Fabrics and Bridal in Durban.
The very detailed bodice of my dress inspired the jewellery and shoes I chose for the day, very glamorous and detailed, reflecting my personal style.

The venue holds great significance in our family as my sister wed there 10 years ago.

My decor had to capture the elegance and simplicity theme of the wedding, and because black and white were the colours of the day, we used gold to warm it up and many candles to further bring a warm ambiance.
We used 2 different themes throughout the room that really brought in a tasteful swing to the decor. One table style was centered with large vases containing flowers in them while the other had candelabras. The purple mood lights that lit up the room brought a romantic feel which allowed guests to appreciate the bursts of warmth that the candles brought.

The groom wore a black suit that had a white jacket with black trimming and an oversized velvet bowtie to go with the theme of wedding.
The groomsmen wore all black suits from Eurosuit. We decided to switch it up a little and have them wear white bow ties instead of the traditional black bowtie
The bridesmaids wore elegant long black dresses. The dresses were one-arm, however each bridesmaids had a different design to bring out their individuality and complement their bodies. The dresses were designed and made by an amazing young designer called Mufaro

No I didn't have a planner, I started planning well in advance and made sure I had a very detailed document outlining all the details of the day. The document was shared with friends and family members I had asked to coordinate, I handed everything over to them and was able to enjoy my wedding knowing everything was in good hands
No transport was used. All preparations were done at the Venue
The venu chefs at Avianto prepared all meals.
The 3 tier black and gold cake was baked by Kelly from Kelly Jayne Cakes. The cake looked stunning and tasted amazing

I designed all wedding stationary myself and printed at a local print shop. I also did the wedding website...hobbies I have picked up over time
We took a pact to dance like there's no tomorrow. We did not have any lessons and just winged it.... That was the best choice ever, we did so well and had so much fun.
Our DJ really aided us with this as the music was fun and inclusive for all guests, young and old. DJ services were provided by EOB Events.
All in all the best part of our reception was our MC Tennysen Rumano who had us laughing, well entertained and begging for the evening not to end.... WHAT A VIBE
