My Special Day

My wedding look: I was going for soft and floral and extremely natural. I liked the colours that were soft pinks, whites, beiges. My flowers incorporated all of these elements through Orchids and Proteas of varying shapes, colours and sizes.
The flowers definitely made a statement without being overwhelming.

My dress was from Eva Lendel, sourced through Vonve Bridal Boutique and the made me a custom overskirt for my ceremony with matching lace detail. My dress had crystal, beads and glass crystal hand sewn in that gave my dress three dimensional shine and shimmer and not taking away from the gorgeous lace.

My shoes were a subtle golden snake print Jimmy Choo. A thin heel but not too high for elegance and comfort. I had a pair of pink ad white floral Nike Air Force 1 hidden under my table for late in the evening when the dancing was much for my heels. :)

My lingerie was from Bras N Things. A beautiful white and golden lace set that allowed me to do some lovely pictures in the stunning bridal suite i was getting ready in.

My jewellery was special. My something borrowed was a pearl and diamond Jenna Clifford bracelet from a close friend along with a stunning set of bold earrings. My something old and something blue was a tiny ring my dad gave to my mom on her 21st birthday. Since my dad passed away when i was 21 years old, I knew I would wear this on my wedding day. It has a small blue sapphire in the center of a flower. And last but not least my engagement ring, a beautiful Protea solitaire from Browns.
Our wedding bands were matching Love bands from Cartier.

My hair was done by Piccaso Hair, into a loose curly bun that sat low and out of my face.
My make-up was done by the talented Cathy Heaton that made me and my bridemaids feel like a dream.

The Venue

I got married at Zavion Kotze and John Brereton's stunning new venue in Mulderdrift: Inimatible.
From the first sight you are blown away by an exceptional glass chapel set in what feels like forest. The bridal and grooms suite is something from a Homemakers expo magazine and makes for the most fun photos.
The reception venue has high ceilings that allow for hang arrangements and is glass shuttered all the way around so your reception has a view of the sun setting over the Zwartkop mountains.
The canapes area is an outdoor heaven that allows for cocktails and champagne while we took pictures. The guests enjoyed this so much.

We were so happy and everything about the venue exceeded out expectations.
Our guests did stay the night at Inimitable and some at other closeby lodges.
