My hightlight of the day was when I saw my then fiancé and his facial expression for the first time. PRICELESS!!!!! From then everything that happened through out the evening was just magical and I would do everything over and over again in the exact same way!!
We went on a "minimoon", just a week of us and quality time together. We are saving up for a trip to Philippines next year, but our week in the Garden route was very relaxing.
I will describe it as romantic. Loose curly hair with a smokey yet subtle eye and soft lips. My wedding dress was a classy and sexy design with a low back. I only had earrings, because less is more....
Our wedding took place in Montagu, about 3 hours drive from Cape Town at Cabrierés. Very small and intimate wedding venue. Most of our guest went through on the Friday and made it a whole weekend of celebrations.
I did not follow a different regime towards our wedding, was to afraid of changing my routine and breaking out! So just the normal daily wash and cleanse....
One of my friends got background with flower arrangements and helped out a lot, all my bridesmaids jumped in and helped out aswell. Our wedding consisted mostly of pennygum and roses and a few exotic flowers. Decor at the venue was chandeliers and many candles that created a romantic ambiance.
We shopped around for my husband suit and ended up purchasing instead of having one made. He wore a navy suit with a white shirt and maroon tie. All the groomsmen wore the exact same outfit except for a blazer.
Well this was a difficult one!!! 4 different styles and body types that needed to be combined so everyone will be sort of happy. We decided on a sort of wrap dress with a flower bodice. They all looked very good.
Since we got married far from home we decided to get a priest close to the venue and I'm so happy we did. He just clicked with us from the first time we met. Marius Joubert just made our day even more special.
Our photographer was Astrid from Ever, ever photography. She knows her stuff. I usually freeze in front of a lense, but she just put us at ease and directed us in the right directions all the time. The previews that she has sent me is absolutely AMAZING!!!! Can't wait for more.

I did consider a wedding planner at first, but I'm kind of a control freak so had to do everything myself. I was fun until the end and I will do it again.
Our food was prepared by Johan from Cafe Maude in Robertson and everyone raved about how nice the food was. My cake was baked from a local lady in Robertson, Elsabé. Is was a chocolate moist cake with a fudge filling. We had cake for breakfast the morning after our wedding, to die for!!
Our DJ, another local from Montagu created a atmosphere with his DJ skills and boy did the guest love his playlist. I will definitely recommend him to anyone.
