A day that i dreamt about for a long time became a reality on the 07.12.2019 needless to say it was everything i imagined and dreamed it would be and more.
There are so many highlights to this day, to mention a few, from the very moment of getting ready and walking down the isle into Church was a feeling i have never felt before it felt like a dream my husband that the biggest smile ever while walking down the isle it was just priceless to say the least!when it came to exchanging of vows and saying i do was definitely the first highlight of the day,it was the most amazing feeling ever my heart had the biggest smile ever and it was filled with so much happiness at that very moment,from exiting the church to the reception venue was a highlight and memorable for us,what really hit me was our first dance as a couple i was so excited to share that with everyone it really captured such a beautiful moment,We are truly blessed to have such amazing family and friends and seeing them having the best time ever was the best thing to see, i couldn't have ask for anything better.
It has been a month and people are still speaking about our wedding day and how amazing it was, and hearing that just melts my heart and makes me the happiest girl in the world.
We did indeed go on honeymoon,we decided to go local, our first 2 days we spent in Sedge field at Pine lake Marine which was quite nice, we had really good quality time and exploring some restaurants and enjoying each others company,after the two days we then left for Knysa which was the actual destination we were both really excited for,we stayed at the most gorgeous place ever called the Hedge Cottage, We had the best views ever surrounded by mountains and trees with peace and tranquility,this was absolutely perfect for us, There was nothing better than waking up next to your loved one with a breathtaking view and forgetting about the rest of the world,exploring Knysa was such an awesome experience and doing it together for the first time and as a married couple made it even more special.
Yet again Best decision made :)

We got married at Eensgezind in Durbanville,
I do not regret making this decision at all, the best venue to get married at, besides the venue itself with the most amazing views and inside the venue that has the perfect look,it comes with the full package, we didn't have to worry about any decor besides our flowers and the Marquee lights,there service was outstanding from day 1,we were ensured that everything will be set out to exactly what we wanted and they have exceeded our expectations, everyone was blown away by service, the food and the Canape's definitely a winner!
We attached a list of guest houses as an option for our guests to stay over but none of them needed to as it wasn't necessary.
Needless to say they were rated the top wedding venue of 2019!

Well i received many tips from a lot of people giving me ideas on what works and what doesn't, but i had to do what works for me,
Closer to the time of the wedding i put some effort in to look and feel good, i drank lots of water, tried gyming atleast 3 times a week to calm my nerves and to release some stress and nerves.i flossed more regular than usual and the only treat i had done was a Thai massage a week before the wedding which really helped,the service i used was at Thai me by Canal Walk,not forgetting Rescue remedy and Calmettes i took a week before.
My decor was inspired by my interests which was based on sophistication and elegance but yet simplicity,
I diddnt want the venue to be bombarded with flowers and also did not need much because the setting alone is beautiful with fairy lights hanging from the drapping and a huge hanging crystal light in the center of the roof so based on this my center pieces was hanging crystal Candelabras with the flowers on top with round a round mirror piece and crystal candles and Tiffany Chairs i went for a clean classy colors being silver and white which brought out the look of the crystals and the fairy lights as well as our Marquee lights it really tied in with the whole look of the venue, our venue supplied us with almost all our decor and furniture and props as well, the only extra rented elements was our Marquee lights(MR & MRS and the SS)hired from Lekkertrou which we had placed in-front of our table,and the SS was placed on the porch which had such a great effect at night, the flowers we got from a lady in town called Fadwah's flowers, she has a wide range of any kind of flower you need at the best prices, i was lucky enough to have my father in law do my flower bouquets for me and the flower arrangements at the venue, he did to perfection and exactly what i asked for.
I was very please with everything the Venue had to offer and amazed by all the decor and furniture they had to offer,this made our planning process so much easier and less stressful
The groom pulled of a lean classic look which we both decided on, he wore a white shirt, a navy undercoat and blue tie with a stone grey blazer and trousers with a dark brown shoe.
The groomsmen wore white shirts and navy bow ties with light brown suspenders with a grey trousers and dark brown shoes.

The guys really pulled of this classic look, you cannot go wrong with clean and natural colors especially in summer
My bridesmaids wore a beautiful Fuscia pink color dresses with there choice of Style ,i chose this clolor because i know it would match there fair skin tone also i saw it as such a pretty bold color for summer without it was actually the color for 2019, there dress styles was inspired by looks they checked on Pinterest.
The dresses were designed by the dressmaker Beverley Cloete, a very well known dressmaker that has been around for more than 30 years and situated in Bellville South,she is on Instagram as beverley.cloete
Myself and the bridesmaids were very pleased and happy with the outcome of there look and looked so stunning.
Our Marriage officer was Father Noel which is our Parish Priest at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Bellville,
Father Noel made us feel so comfortable through our whole preparation of marriage, he was so happy and excited for us and really made the service such a joyous and blessed occasion.
We had so much fun with our Photographer Shezan , she captured all the important moments, a lot of natural shots taken which i loved because it made us feel very comfortable.
I came across her page on instagram as know as Shezanphotography and saw that her work was quite impressive and she had really good package deals, we had her for 10 hours shooting time and this was over enough time to cover everything.
We had a Instagram Photo booth frame made by IMVAKALELO DIGITAL www.imvakalelo.com, very cool if you wanting to create or do something Unique at your wedding, it also creates a fun atmosphere along with the props.
We did not have a planner as we did not require one because our venue included almost everything,
we also had great help from both families with good connections,
This just made everything so smooth for us
We made use of Zonneveld Cars,we hired the 1960 Rolls Royce- our dream was to have a vintage car so that is exactly what we got :)

The food was prepared by the Venue as they have there own onsite catering,the food was the best i ever had,
My wedding cake was inspired by something i saw on Pinterest, i also wanted to be different to the normal wedding cakes i always see at wedding, we decided to do a 4 tier the base being the Dummy ,half chocolate and half white wedding cake with Fuscia roses between the sections,each tier had a different filling,chocolate mud,vanilla with caramel and red velvet the wedding cake was made by my aunt goes by the name "The cake lady", she bakes the most amazing cakes and quality too.
Our Save the dates i created on greetingsisland which was so worth it and cost free
Our wedding invites was designed and printed through Merry pack situated in Pinelands-They have a wide range of ideas to choose from and excellent service.
The Table numbers was designed by my mother-in law a simple printed number placed in a glass frame which paired perfectly with our setting.
The table seating names were designed and printed by my mother-in law too this was pretty basic and straight forward and cost free
This was basically the only stationary that had to be designed and printed
The reception was magical!
From the decor to immaculate lake views from the porch where everyone could chill and socialize and enjoy the scenery
We had a cool candy station which was a brilliant idea,everybody went crazy with the sweets-we used this our thank you gifts,then ofcourse the bar area where people could enjoy some drinks, along with the photo booth which turned out to be quite fun.
Our Dj -Dj Chezzy D was awesome ,we evening had the priest on the dance floor, with all the friends and family joining in.
Decided not to do dance lessons as we just wanted it to be natural and to have a flow which was perfect,
Dj setup all the sound with no hiccups at all as he was fully equipped he had a smoke machine as as well with the led disco led lights.
