Magical Moments

A highlight for me was definitely when my bridesmaids and myself accidentally, not accidentally fell into the dam on the farm where pictures and video footage was being taken.

The Honeymoon

We plan to go to Madeira for our honeymoon sometime this year.

My Special Day

My look was a bohemian / wild woman style vs my husband going for the cowboy look. We both wanted to feel comfortable wearing "who we are". Our wedding was a DIY wedding.
I was my own MUA and hair stylist. My friend Zee box dyed my hair pink before the wedding day. Lashes were done by Magdalene Grobbelaar and nails done by Lila. Shoes were by Mika from Touw macrame. My beautiful dress was a duplicate of one of my favorite dresses of which I own a grey and blue one purchased while on my travels in Italy, Rimini. Dress maker was Claire Thomson from Claire's designs.
EON Media was our videographer.

The Venue

The ceremony was held at my husbands family farm in the Karoo, swartberg Oudtshoorn.

Guests had the option of camping at the bush camp or to book into guest accommodation in the area.

Wedding Elements

The ceremony was held at the bush camp on the farm. Family & friends prepared the salads, steak was on the braai. My Sister-inlaw, bridesmaids and our Aunty Ross put in a tremendous amount of effort to create the most beautiful space for the guests I had ever imagined. Flowers were picked by friends and family and a friend of ours Rossouw gifted us a box of flowers for our wedding. My Sister, Nephew and Niece created a tasty gluten free cake for us that was transported all the way from Pringle - Bay to the venue! We served doughnuts to our guests from Loerie Bakery in George.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

Groom wore his cowboy attire all the way from US of A and the groomsmen wore white collared shirts and khaki chino pants.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

My dear bridesmaids wore their own dresses we opted for a golden, brown and metalic pallette hahaha in the end the girls wore what ever they felt beautiful in and it all worked out perfectly. Those bridesmaids matching days are long gone.

Marriage Officer

Home Affairs
Rosslyn blessed us on our wedding day.

My Captured Moments

We chose the best videographer in our area and beyond, EON MEDIA. My Sister in law was kind of forced into taking some snap shots hahaha as we could only afford one or the other so we choose a videographer even though I am a Photographer.

The Wedding Planner

No, but a friend Zee from The Delicious Monster did some brainstorming with me two weeks before the wedding.

Wedding Transport

We were gifted our ride from a friend on a neighboring farm which let us use their game viewing vehicle.

Food & Cake

DIY salads and steaks.
Gluten free cake was made by my Niece and decorated by my Nephew whom both are chefs.
Ouma also baked our favourite millionaires cake and doughnuts were from Loerie Bakery in George.

Wedding Stationery

Aunty Ross gifted the wedding favours. Beautiful brown bottles filled with a sprig of Rosemary for our guests.

The Reception and Entertainment

Wish we took dancing lessons but we sambaed and tangoed our way through our wedding day. We did our own sound and lighting thanks to Shawn Robertson for his speakers. Zenn Viljoen entertained our guests with his blissful beats. Our friends were the Djs for the night thanks Gabe & Justin.
