Definitely the getting ready for the big day and to walk down the isle and see my handsome husband staring at me and how we had to stop our tears. The ceremony was my favourite, just to walk down the isle with my dad whom I love with my whole heart. And the photos was great fun just loved to be all natural and comfortable around each other. I loved evety second of my wedding day everything was according to plan and nothing was out of place. Couldn't ask for better people to shared our special day with.
Yes, we went up the Garden route from Hermanus all the way to Plettenberg Bay. Was incredible, but Maldives was definitely my dream Honeymoon destination.
I loved how everything came together, I was never sure in the beginning how my Jewellery and my Shoes will go with my wedding dress, but when I saw myself in the mirror I was quite impressed. I wanted to wear my hair loose with curls, but it was all depending on my dress and how my dress would have looked at the back. My back was so beautiful I couldn't spoil it with loose hair so I ended up with an up style. My beautiful make up and hair was done by Lee-Anne van Zyl, wow she definitely outdone herself. My beautiful wedding dress was made by Fiona McClarty one of my primary school best friends mom how special is that? Wow I loved my shoes, I decided I wanted to be comfortable and I was beyond comfortable with my beautiful vellies I got made from Root44 market in Stellenbosch. Jewellery and accessories was very special to me as I was wearing my sisters earrings and bracelet that she worn on her wedding day. Loved loved loved it.
We got married at the beautiful Nelsons Creek Wine Estate on the R44 just before the Wellington turn off. What a magnificent venue, great service and just made everything worth it. Only some of our guests stayed over, and how convenient the accommodation was on the premises of the venue.
I never really had a specific bridal beauty regime leading up to the wedding, but fitness was definitely in my daily schedule, for all the crazy fitness people out there come and try out F45 Stellenbosch you will love and enjoy every second of it. My husband is the manager there ;). I've always been very conscious and caring about my skin so I haven't changed anything for the wedding kept my routine exactly as is.
Oh wow, this was my favourite. I was in love with my bouquet totally in love. Everything worked so well together and I wouldn't have changed anything to my decor, lights etc. The decor lady Christine from Touch of Eleganz really out done herself she just made perfectly sure everything was as I wanted it to be.
The groom got his suit from Euro Suit at Canal walk he looked so handsome, his shoes, button shirt and belt we got from Woolworths. The groomsmen rented their pants from Euro Suit. They all looked very smart. No blazer just suspenders with the button shirts.
So they had beautiful flower dresses we bought at the China shops (what a bargain) but wow they looked beautiful. Loose curly hair with flower/eucalyptus crowns and a beautiful nude high heel with rose gold earrings. I just had a image in my head of what they should wear and they looked stunning
Our marriage officer was Wessel Coetsee. He did a phenomenal job.
The beautiful Anel Nortier captured our lovely wedding photos, what a spontaneous women full of love and energy. Made us feel extremely comfortable around her and she definitely knows what she is doing. And then our incredible wedding video was captured by Jacques burger from Guava Productions. Wow wow wow
I was my own planner and what fun it was to plan a wedding and not just any wedding, my dream wedding.
Food was prepared by the venue. Was amazing and very tasteful. My beautiful wedding cake was made by my husbands aunt Lynn Oosthuizen. Was chocolate and vanilla sponge cake with the yummiest icing. Beautiful and delicious.
Reception was amazing. We never went for dance lessons as we didn't want to spend money on that we thought it wasn't necessary. Our DJ was DJ Ray Ray. Was so awesome and such a beautiful reception
