Magical Moments

Our wedding was really special! Even though it started out as one of the windiest days of the year, it turned into the most beautiful evening! Spending the day with all our loved ones and being able to share every single moment of the first day of our happily ever after was a real blessing!

The Honeymoon

Yes, my husband arranged a surprise honeymoon to Bali!

My Special Day

My wedding look was a true reflection of my personality. I love lace and bling and pink and especially rose gold! And I was able to incorporate all of these into my look without breaking the bank. I firmly believe one can look stunning without spending a small fortune on a wedding look.
I was fortunate enough to have a mother who hand made my wedding dress. Every single little piece of lace was hand cut out with love and sewn onto my dress by my mother and my aunt. It took months! She also hand made my veil. My shoes I found on facebook marketplace of all places! I fell in love with them immediately and they were so comfortable! My earrings were beautiful rose gold Pandora studs (my something new) that were gifted to me by my beautiful mother-in-law, as well as my garter, which was white and navy blue (my something blue). My bracelet was was rose gold with a central crystal (purchased from Lovisa) and was my something borrowed from my sister-in-law.
My hair and make up was done by the super talented Minke Du Plessis, who we later discovered is my second cousin! What a small world! She did my make up with beautiful rose gold colors and my hair was curled and left loose (typically my personalty, as I never wear my hair up!)
My lingerie for the wedding night was a beautiful and super sexy hunter green corset, panty and stockings purchased from La Senza.

The Venue

We got married at Landtscap in Stellenbosch. The ceremony took place on the lawn outside and the reception inside, with a breathtaking view!
Myself and my husband spent the night at Sugarbird Manor, a stunning and quaint little guest house just down the road from the wedding venue. Some of the family also spent the night there.
