My Special Day

My dress, hair and make-up chosen to complement the setting of our wedding venue.

We got married in a small Pine tree forest at Lavandou which made me think of all the fairy tv shows I used to watch when I was younger. So with that in my mind I wanted a wedding dress that would fit with that image and had a lot of tulle and a bit of bling and something no one would expect me to wear, a bit of a plunging neck line. I got my wedding Anna Georgia wedding dress at the Oakfield Farm Wedding expo. Because of the light silver in the dress my veil with lace detail was made by Dennis Loyd.

After my first make-up artist dropped me close the wedding I came across Brush Strokes Make-up Artistry. My make up I wanted darker eyes and my hair with curls and volume. The end result was Hollywood glam that I did not plan but loved. My Make-up and hair artist exceeded the picture that I had in my head and even make it 10 times better. They also took care of my spraytan.

As me and my Husband are on the short side and being a bit clumsy I didn't want to wear heals but came across Zellies at a the Oakfield Farms Wedding Expo and were they so comfy I wore them the entire night.

My Jewelry and Accessories where bought by Lovisa.

The Venue

We got married in a small Pine tree Forest at Lavandou in Pretoria North.

Some of our guest did stay on the venue as it does offer accommodation.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I did not change much of my regime leading up to the day except I added a chemical peal at Euphrates Pretoria.

I bought a standard teeth whitening kit from Dischem which did the trick.

I got a spray tan from Brush Stokes Makeup Artistry and a week before the wedding I had a spa day with my maid of honor at Bakwena Spa

Wedding Elements

Our venue supplied most of everything we needed on the day and the decor was all supplied by them as well.

We had wooden tables with wooden under plates with green leave table runners . Tons of protea's and light white and pink flowers were set between the leaves. We also had a lot of candles.

The owner of the venue, Sonja, did our decor and flowers.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

The groom wore a dark grey Chino and the groomsmen wore light grey Chino's from Markham's.

They each wore a white button down long sleeve shirt with different shades of pastel pink, lavender and mauve ties. The groom wore a dark grey/black tie.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

The bridesmaids wore different shades of pastel pink, lavender and Mauve dresses with a tulle skirt and lace detail.

Marriage Officer

Our wedding was officiated by my previous youth Pastor. Pastor Jaco, who is situated in Johannesburg, did an amazing sermon when I was in High School about how a marriage and love that I always remembered and that we found was applicable in our relationship and that is why we chose him to bring that same message and sermon to our wedding.

My Captured Moments

Our engagement and wedding photo's were taken by One Beat Photography.

The pictures were one of my favorite parts of the day. Our photographers made the entire experience so much fun. It almost felt like we knew them for years and they made us and all of our guest, especially our little flower girl, very comfortable.

The Reception and Entertainment

Another one of my favorite parts of the wedding planning was the dance lessons.

We took dance lessons with Maxine van Jaarsveld at the Beverly Hammond Dance Studio in Doringkloof.
