Magical Moments

Most memorable moments was seeing my Husband-to-be with tears standing at the end of the isle. And then also, we had an absolute ball during our first dance...

All and all it was just a spectacular day!

The Honeymoon

We went to the Maldives for our honeymoon. We stayed at Vilamendhoo Island Restort and Spa.

It was absolutely breathtaking and definitely a bucket list item.

My Special Day

My wedding look consisted of classic bridal look with a bohemian style.

My wedding shoes were small blocked heels in a tan leather purchased from Aldo
My wedding dress & veil was custom made by Lovingly designs (Naomi Fourier) which was made in off white color, with a low back and spectacular Chantilly & other lace detail
My jewelry was Rose gold earrings that was purchased by my mother in New Zealand
Make up was done by Donique from Flawless professional make-up which consisted of a nude lip and smokey eyes
My hair was done by Lizanne van Schalkwyk (a family friend) in a half up style with loose curls and braids

The Venue

We married at Acorn Guest Farm situated just outside Carolina in Mpumalanga. We chose the venue based on the face that we wanted a weekend wedding where our guests could stay over and for the beautiful woods. The ceremony was held in the woods filled with trees- a true fairy tale wedding.

The venue accommodated about 70 guests to stay the night and furthermore guesthouses in the surrounding area was used for the remained of our guests.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

At the beginning of the year I was taking bootcamp classes at Adventure bootcamp for women, and continued with my fitness by running in the afternoons and going to the Planet Fitness.

I made use of a teeth whitening home kit from Brilliant White SA.

The week before our wedding I went for a full spa day that included acrylic set of nails done in faded french style, Hollywood wax, eyebrow wax and tint & had gelish done on my toes in a nude color. All treatments were done at Bien Entre in Centurion by Moira Thompson.

To get a nice glow, I purchased 10 tanning sessions from Solar Scape.

My Captured Moments

We truly had the best people capturing our big day!

Blanche Burger from BlancheB Photography was our photographer and is great at capturing moments rather that staging them. She became a close friend and her works speaks for itself- she is amazing.

At the last minute, we found videographers Jaen and Jan from Volk & Vlieer, that we knew would capture our day in the perfect way.

Our photobooth was made by ourselves, using copper piping to make a frame and flowers to decorate the frame. A couch with empty photo frames and a Rose Gold buck head mounted to the wall finished off our classy yet unique photobooth. Our guests made use of a Polaroid camera to take photos and stick them into our guest book and write a short message.

The Wedding Planner

All planning was done by ourselves.

Wedding Transport

Food & Cake

Toast Co. was the caterer we used for all the meals prepared for the wedding.

The Friday night before the wedding we had a braai with friends & family. Toast caters made the side dishes.

Toast did the 3 course meal for our wedding as well as the wedding cake

The Sunday Toast made the breakfast for our guest that stayed over.

Wedding Stationery

We used a design purchased from Etsy to make our Menus and had it printed at Gecko Printing in Centurion.

Table numbers & signs were designed by myself and made by Aliberti Events

The Reception and Entertainment

Our venue supplied us with a DJ that did both the lights and the sound.

We have dancing together for no need for dance lessons (wink-wink)
