Magical Moments

Everything was beautiful. It was perfect from the start, words of Pastor Paul for the ceremony - there were laughs, giggles and tears. I am a biker and therefore the theme was all about bikes. I had my best girls ride in front on their bikes and me in the biggest Ford F150 old school bakkie. They revved and made noise as we went and that was super special to me. Walking up to husband to be - the tears in his eyes were wonderful to see. Although mine was also blurry from tears of happiness. Our kids were there with us in front and both of them were as happy as can be. The best moment of all was when we had a family hug after the I do. Our family was meant to be ..... the second time around (hubby and i were married first time in 2005. We got divorced in 2012. Our paths crossed again after 5 years and we got remarried now in 2018. We have a son of 6 and a daughter of 10)

The Honeymoon

Unfortunately not ..... as both kids were in school - we decided to work on our house and just chill at home. But we hope to do a Honeymoon sometime soon!

My Special Day

Wedding look was biker rock chick. The dress I designed myself and Celebrities in George made it for me. It fitted perfect. Tight fitting in a cream lace with skin visible. It had to have a slit in front so that I could at least get on my own bike for the photos. I had black boots on with it and very scull / pearl jewellery. I have an undercut so the hairstyle was quite funky with it shaven on the sides and all the rest in curls on top and back of my head. Make up was smokey eye with light pink lip. Lingerie ..... well if you look at the dress, not much was required :-) Except underwear that would not show through ....

The Venue

We had our ceremony at The Blue Shed Coffee Roastery in Mossel Bay. We always have coffee there and the grounds are scattered with old school cars (which we both love). The ceremony was on the deck with an old blue VW Combi as background. We also signed the register in the combi. The whole vibe just went with the laid back relaxing feel that we wanted for the ceremony and reception

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I am already into fitness as a norm. So no special things were followed. It was just the same fitness lifestyle that i already got used too. My daughter and I gave each other some manis and pedis the night before. Mommy-daughter time was well spent to look great for our day

Wedding Elements

We opted to have a relaxed "bring-and-braai" reception. We hired some braais and people to assist in braaing everyones food. The salads got made by one of my good friends. Hubby and I did the decor for the hall ourselves. It was all black draping with black table cloths and chair covers. We then made hoola hoops with fairy lights and loads of pink, white, turqoise and black ribbons hanging from the roof above every table. DJ was also one of our biker friends. We had a lot f support from all our friends with most of all the services that we required. And we are very greatful for each and every one of them

My Groom And His Groomsmen

Hubby and my son both wore jeans and a white button up shirt with boots. Relaxed and all fitting with the theme and venue

Beautiful Bridesmaids

I did not have any bridesmaids. My girls were my entourage to the ceremony wore jeans and black shirts with a flower pattern bandanna (which they got made without me knowing and was such an awesome surprise!). My daughter walked with me and she had a similar dress to mine just in a faded pink colour and more fitted to her age

Marriage Officer

Pastor Paul from the Bikers Church in George married us

My Captured Moments

I had a couple of photographers. My sister and her husband were the main photographers (reception photos were off course something to always remember!) and then i had a trainee photographer Danelle that assisted with our beach photos and they came out great!

The Wedding Planner

I used to do wedding planning many years ago so planning of our second wedding was a breeze

Wedding Transport

I had and old school Ford F150 bakkie. We love old cars and this one was black so perfectly fitting into our biker / scull / relaxing theme

Food & Cake

I own my own small business, Delicious Cakes - Mossel Bay - so the cake i made myself. All black in 5 tiers of chocolate madness. I hand made pink and red flowers and scattered them over the tiers. The topper i got from Vredebest Packaging in Mossel Bay which was a bride and groom with the bride taking a selfie (which was quite fitting for us). Salads and breads were prepared by friends and family and we had people braaing the guest's meat if they did not want to braai themselves

Wedding Stationery

No stationery was used - all invites were sent out via email or whatsapp (we have technology so use it ... lol). The design of the invite i also did myself

The Reception and Entertainment

We did not take lessons as we already knew each other for over 15 years. Sound and lights was done by our DJ who is also one of our close friends
