We have been friends for a long time, meeting with a mutual friend inviting us all over to socialize. We were both in relationships when we met. In 2015 both our relationships ended and we ended up being each others support. Our love of off-road motorbiking (I have a quad and he has a two wheel) and 4 x 4 trips had us spending more and more time together. We were each others plus 1 to all invites just not to go alone.
Because we were friends we were brutally honest about who we were and what we wanted out of life. There were no hidden agendas ..... he accepted my loudness and I accepted his laziness but at the same time we respected our passions of bodybuilding (his) and running (mine) and riding bike and doing 4 x 4 trails.
Things got serious and just as I started to panic about losing a friend he asked me to be his official girlfriend not just a girl friend to hang out with.......... We have been living together for about two years now have a dog together (Emma) and know that the future is what you make it and that no relationship is without its little monkeys causing problems but we chose the monkeys we could live with in each other and grow together.
We went away for a week after a terrible accident in which we lost his brother. We had to take a break and just get away from everything and everyone. We went to the Korana Mountains where we did the off road motorbiking and 4X4 routes.
We went out one day and he said that we needed to go to a cliff and take pictures there of the bikes with the scenery. We spend nearly the whole day at the top of the mountain exploring and just before we went back we went to the cliff. I have a fear of heights so I got off the quad and told him he could park it where he liked I am going to setup so long to take the photo. He set up everything and I started snapping. I did not notice that he was taking off his full bike kit. I realized he was behind me and told him that he needed to see if the is happy with the photo as it started raining. He just told me to first look at what he had. I could not turn around as I was on the edge and got frustrated because he did not want to check the photo. I looked back and he was on his knees !!!!!!!!!! I needed to hold on to his shoulders to turn around and then I had to sit down.
