Magical Moments

The highlights were sharing the most magical & spectacular day of my life with my closest family and friends,
having the opportunity to have my father hand me over to my husband with tears of joy and having our dachshund, Koffie, be our ring bearer, even though he slept through most of the service.

The Honeymoon

We had the devine priviledge to travel to North of Maldives to a beautiful island called Adaraan Select for our Honeymoon. We spent 8 days in a stunning little beach villa next to the bluest waters and cleanest beaches I have ever seen.

My Special Day

My look was classic, modern, yet it had a vintage feel.
My dress design is an Elana Morar from Bridal Secret which perfectly suited the Spring season as it had a blush pink undertone with white 3D flower lace running down the dress. My hair was chic and classic with long highlighted golden locks and a fairy plat tied back. It was styled by Grizentia at VIP Hair Design. I had rosegold jewellery with teardrop rhinestones. My makeup was rosegold modern and classic, done by Michelle Von Lind from Von Lind Beauty. My shoes were from Forever New and aligned nicely with the rosegold crystals found in my dress and jewellery.

The Venue

We got married at Ever Be Country Chatau situated in Hennops by Hartenbeespoort. It is the most spectacular hidden gem I have yet to come across with the Hennops River flowing right outside the chapel.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I did it all; I had a BBM Laser Treatment Facial, 10 tan-can sessions at The Sun Room, teeth whitening, 3 x training sessions a week for 4 months prior with a personal trainer, Jesse Mitchel, from Dynamic Health Gym in Fourways. My hair was highlighted and I bought extensions from Front Row. I bought Miami Lilly Lashes from overseas and had daily cream and facial cleansing routines.

Wedding Elements

Our theme was inspired by my husband's profound love for fishing, executed in a vintage and modern way. The colours were navy blue, blush pink, burgundy and rosegold. Lasercut, wooden and artistic fishing decór were made and placed in and around the venue as part of the theme. Fishing net with beautiful flowers were incorporated to bring the scheme to life. A small boat was hand-made and decorated for the canapés overlooking the beautiful mountain scenery. We had 70 bubble guns for confetti that perfectly aligned to an underwater feel. Our cake topper was rosegold incorporating our love for one another, the fishing theme and our little dachshund. We had fairy lights and candle light around the entire venue to bring the romantic feel to life.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

The groom and his groomsmen chose a more casual look, they wore long cream pants, white long shirts with navy waistcoats. They had a burgundy tie each with fish cufflinks and lasercut fish in their flower arranged buttonholes. We had my nephew bring in our dachshund on his rosegold leash whom were a splitting image of the groomsen in their little suits.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

My beautiful 4 x bridesmaids wore a blush pink long chaffon draped dress each with sparkled rosegold sequins and pink lace with v-necklines. They all had received rosegold jewellery from me as a gift to wear on the day. My niece was my flower girl and wore a dress designed to resemble a smaller version of my dress - she was the most beautiful little bride! Our Parents all wore one of the 3 colour scheme colours and looked stunning!! Mina from Bellamina in Pretoria was the genuis and remarkable talent behind many of the amazing outfits!

Marriage Officer

Pastor George van der Riet was our marriage officer and spoke on the topic of Love and its many meanings and sides. He has a modern and refreshing way of preaching and brings so much understanding and hope- I even recall him singing in the sermon. :)

My Captured Moments

We had the most phenominal photographers, Van Luke Photography. They are a husband and wife team and are extremely professional and very talented. They captured every emotion and every moment with so much love and attention to detail.

Wedding Transport

A dear family friend was kind enough to drive me to the chapel in his AC Cobra. It was magical!

Food & Cake

Some Day, managed by Claudette Jacobs, whom was our Wedding Planner had managed the stunning stationary, flowers, catering and details of the day.

Monique Cakes had baked our yummy three tier Naked Cake made with vanilla cream cheese.

The Reception and Entertainment

For our opening dance we took 10 dance lessons from The Latin Ballroom Studio in Pretoria with a dear friend, Mr. Anton. He was very hands-on and extremely patient with our two left feet. We opened on a song that I wrote and recorded for my husband at FX Music with Mark Kahn. Singer and a dear friend, Deon Bothma, sang the song live on the day, making the moment absolutely breath-taking and special. Dewald Slabbert was our DJ and had the absolute best equipment, talent and technique that ensured everyone had a wonderful time!! My brother-in-law was our fabulous and funny MC and could possibly be the best MC I believe exists - I still think he could actually do it for a living!!
