Magical Moments

To us the whole day was a highlight, from the moment we start preparing till we laid our heads down on the pillow. Everything was perfect and so special, the day was filled with joy and laughter and of course a few tears of happiness. My father is not a dancer but he still wanted that special father-daughter thing so he recorded the most beautiful prayer that he played just before the ceremony started that left everybody in tears. The photo session after the ceremony was a fun filled experience i never had laughed so much at once in my life.
We enjoyed the rest of our wedding with all of our guests until early morning hours.

The Honeymoon

Yes we were very fortunate to went on a memorable honeymoon in Mauritius. We stayed at Victoria Beachcomber for 7 wonderful days.
We spend hours on the water paddling, strolling on the beach, drinking cocktails and making memories.

My Special Day

I wanted a romantic look with a dash of vintage and a little flair. I decided to go with a full-length lace gown with only a little beadwork that embraced my body perfectly. My hair was done by Jonel Erasmus from Jonel Erasmus Hair Stylist and Make-Up Artist in a loose-upstyle wih soft curls that framed my face. My niece Sune Wagner from Sune Wagner Make-Up and Photography did my make-up to compliment my look.
I wore burgandy wedges from Woolworths for feet comfort. My parents gave me a pearl and diamond pendant and earing set from American Swiss as a present on the day of the wedding, the rest of my accessories where something old, something borrowed, and something blue.

The Venue

We got married at the spectacular Mooiplaas Trou en Funksie Venue in Modimolle Limpopo.
Our nearby family joined us on the Friday before the wedding at the venue for a nice get together and spent the whole weekend with us all there, our other guests stayed close to the venue in guesthouses and lodges.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I tried to keep everything as normal and natural as possible with no special treatments.
I got my hair and nails done a week before the wedding.

Wedding Elements

Me and my mother did the decor ourselfs with help from her sisters on the day before the wedding. The flowers were done by Stef Dorling and he mainly made use of proteas and roses which is my favourite flowers.
All of the furniture and extra decor that was used were supplied by Mooiplaas.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

The groom wore a brown suit from Calvano Menlyn Park, his tie and his tie-pin were from Steve and Willie in Polokwane, and his shoes was from Truworths.
The groomsmen's clothes were from Edgars and Trappers Trading.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

My bridesmairds wore full-length burgundy dresses with a little lace on the bodice, the dresses complimented their figures excellent, the dresses was made by my mother and aunt. Their shoes was the same as mine, burgundy wedges from Woolworths.

Marriage Officer

Our marriage officer were reverent Gert van Staden from the Dutch Reformed Church of SA, a good old friend of us aswell, he made the whole wedding ceremony so special for us.

My Captured Moments

We did not make use of a videographer only the fabulous Marika O'Reilly that captured the whole day, since the first time we met up until the day of the wedding she made us feel like we were good old friends, we were so comfortable with her and had the best photo session on the day of our wedding, we would definitely recommend her to anybody.

The Wedding Planner

No we planned the day ourselves we did not make use of a wedding planner.

Wedding Transport

My groom did not make use of any wedding transport since he were getting ready at the lodge on the wedding venue.
My wedding transport were my aunt's Mercedes Benz GL 500, they secretly made us our own unique number plates with our names and wedding date on, and my uncle played shauffeur which was very special.

Food & Cake

The food was deliciously done by Mooiplaas Trou en Funksie Venue, it was a 3 coarse meal with mainly traditional boerekos the waffle station for dessert was a highlight for everyone. Our wedding cake was on another level of craftmanship it was made by Christie Thomas from Christie's Cake Creations, it was given to us a present from my aunt.

Wedding Stationery

All of our stationery were done by Mellony at Glinster Glans, she were amazing she understanded exactly what we had in mind and helped us in less then 10 days time.
We were so impressed with the fabulous service and great quality of her products.

The Reception and Entertainment

O what a party... We did not take dance lessons but we did practice a time or 2 before the wedding seeing that my husband has two left feet. Our sound and lightning were done by the DJ Schalk Burger, which was recommended by the venue.
