Magical Moments

We had the opportunity to get married on our beautiful Protea farm. My Grandfather bought the farm in 1983. In 2008, my Father became the owner of the farm. It was a privilege to get married where i grew up.

It was so special having the whole family involved in our wedding, from the flower girls, bridesmaids, maid of honour, groomsmen to the best man.

We became one, after a 8 journey.

We danced to our favourite song, which we listened throughout our journey together.

I got to see my wedding ring for the first time, it was so special because he chose it for me.

I am so privileged that my father could walk me down the isle.

One amazing memorable moment was our fathers danced together, it was so special and funny at the same time!

The Honeymoon

Yes, we went to Botlierskop Private Game Reserve, it was so Beautiful and Relaxing. We lay in bed watching the Giraffes and Rhino's grazing infront of us. Hearing the bird life early mornings, going to sleep hearing the owls. Had an experience in the mosselbay area with the best views. We went to look at the dias museum. We ate 5 star food and drank really good champaign.

My Special Day

Our Wedding look was modern vintage. We had Pearls, Roses, and Eacalpytus as our main focal points. My hair was twisted and up in a bun, with Eaculyptus in it, I wore a vale just for the ceremony. My Make-up was natural. (Monette Professional Make up|Hair) did my hair and make-up). My wedding dress was made from Bridal lace and Dutches Satin, pearls running down the back. (La Faye é wedding dress designer - designed my wedding dress). I wore pink/coffee colour pumps and (La Faye é) added lace for me to my shoes. I wore white laced lingerie. My husband bought my pearl earings and bracelet at Lovisa.

The Venue

We got married at Eagles Rest Guest Lodge and Spa. 12 km out of Napier on the Elim Road. Yes, the Guests did stay the night and slept in the Guest Houses on the premises.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I drank a sufficient amount of water aswell as I sat in the Sauna everyday. Jogged 3-4 times a week. I made use of white glo for teeth whitening before the wedding. My Bridesmaid (Bea-Marie) Blessed me to a Spa day where I recieved a Full body massage aswell as a Deluxe Pedicure. My Bridesmaid (Jeanine Lategan) did my facial aswell as tinting and waxings. (Emily Visser) did my permanent lash extensions. (Danelle Kotze) did my nails.

Wedding Elements

Decor was mostly vintage, wooden under plates, vintage silver cutlery, glass mirror and pearls on the table. Our Flowers consisted mainly of Roses, Eaculyptus and Gyps, it was so plain but so beautiful. (My mom did our flowers), the Roses where imported. The ceremony was held in a white elegant tent, with wooden benches in, a vintage carpet for in the isle. The pastors stand was white and behind him was this huge round arch covered in Roses and Eaculyptus. (Antoinette Events Bredasdorp) did our catering. We had a huge amount of candles and fairy lights all over the venue.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

They wore a black pants, grey shirt, brown Shoes, belt and tie, mostly bought by Woolworths. The Grooms Jacket was hired by Smart Suits in Strand. Their cufflinks I had custom made by Polkadot box. They each wore a different shade blue pair of socks.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

The Bridesmaids wore a dress made by (100% me) in Brackenfel.

Marriage Officer

Our marriage officer was our Pastor in our church, Stephan Feldmann

My Captured Moments

Jocelyn de kock was our photographer, she made our day so special with giving us the most beautiful photos. Jaco Van Staden was our videographer, he is an old family friend of ours, many years back he worked for my Father on the Farm. It was amazing to have him record our Special day!

The Wedding Planner

Nikki from Antoinette Events gave me a few ideas, but it was mostly my Husband and myself who planned the whole day, from Decor, flowers, cutlery to the lighting.

Wedding Transport

Our wedding car was an 1967 model Beetle, my Father bought it for me, as he knew it was my dream to have one.

Food & Cake

Antoinette Events did all the catering of the Food. Danielle lambrechts made our wedding Cake.

Wedding Stationery

We had a big wooden board on the entrance to the ceremont tent saying "What God has joined, let no man separate", this was made by (Star Signs Bredasdorp). The table seating and Guest names was sand blasted onto an old window done by (Antoinette Events). The table numbers, Guest Names on the tables, I printed myself.

The Reception and Entertainment

The Reception was at the Eagles Rest Venue. We did not take dance lessons, but did practice privately before the wedding. (Charles dj) did our music and lighting.
