Magical Moments

Haha, my favourite was when my husband asked me “which hand is it again?”

Other than that, we had a really memorable reception! It was super cold and started to rain the moment we were inside.

There was such a mud-slide that we ended up with a recovery vehicle to help the guests get out onto the road!

The Honeymoon

We went to Sun City, it was amazing!!

My Special Day

My wedding look was (or I tried to have it) very earthy and plain. My dress had 3D flowers on it, and my hair and make up was the classic look.

My lingerie was from lasenza, just a white seamless panty.

My garter was made with a piece of lace from the material for my wedding dress.

My jewellry was provided by my older sister (who also married us), she gave me blue swarovski earrings for something new and blue. She also gave me an old butterlfy pin for my something old and borrowed.

My shoes were very bright, bought online from spree.

The Venue

We got married in Lambertsbay, West Coast, at a lovely wedding venue called Bosduifklip.

Our guests stayed at a variety of guest houses in the area.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I used skinlogic, and underwent a six week peel schedule of the same product.

I did not whiten my teeth, but I ised Milkshake and Joico hair products that really helped!

I excercised five days a week and maintained a healthy balanced diet.

Wedding Elements

My décor was modern but with a farm twist (I married a farmer), we had alternating gold sequin and dove grey tule runners, with white ceramic, glass and crystal flower vases.

We also had geometric golden elements, as well as a lot of candles and fairy lights.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

The groom had a royal blue suit with black finishing on the lapels.

He also had brown shoes and a silver tie.

The groomsmen had a royal blue suit pants, with a white shirt, bowtie and suspenders.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

They each had a grey dress on in a different shade of grey in their own style.

My Captured Moments

We used two very amazing companies.

For photo’s we used Bow and Tie Photography, Aike and Simoné are amazing!! Their photo’s are top quality and they make you feel so at ease!

For video we used Mode Productions. Michael Odendaal and his team are absolutely delightful, and support you wherever needed (especially if you are a bit camera shy).

Food & Cake

The food was amazing! Made by Bosduifklip, and truly South African!

The cake was created by my very talented cousin, Bianca Smit. It was a black velvet cake with berry filling and decorated as a naked cake with gold foiling.

Wedding Stationery

My stationary was designed by two seperate friends:

The Save The Dates was designed by Hanelke Bruwer, and the Wedding Invitations by Corene van Zyl (Her company is named Mini Rabit).

The rest of the stationary I designed myself on canva.

The Reception and Entertainment

Our reception was very laid back. We really only wanted people to enjoy themselves.

The DJ was a local DJ, Cedarklank (Janre Theron). The lighting was fairy lights we put up ourselves.

We practiced dancing in our home beforehand (my husband only two-steps, and I had a difficult time getting it right)
