There were so many incredibly magical moments, and I feel I could write endlessly, however, the most memorable were;
When my father came to fetch me (a moment I had dreamed about since being a young girl).
Walking down the aisle to my husband, while a string quartet played, and seeing the look on my husband's face as he saw me for the first time.
Entering the reception and feeling the love and warmth of our closest family and friends as they celebrated the new Mr and Mrs Botoulas.
Last, and definitely not least, as we looked across at each other on the dance floor, as we started our first which then set the tone for the rest of night which was filled with dancing, celebrations and happy faces.
We started our marriage in the most magical way, an island-hopping adventure through one of the most beautiful places in the world.
Greece was a dream destination for me for many years, and being able to explore the history and culture of Athens, the unimaginable beauty that is Santorini and renting a car on the island of Zakinthos, situated in the incredibly blue Ionian sea, where we pin-pointed beaches, coves and various natural beauties and spent our days exploring every corner of the island.
This was the perfect ending to our wedding build-up.
My dress was made by SewCouture, I always wanted to portray a look of elegance, class and regality while still being fashion-forward.
My make-up was done by Janna Stone, I went for a dramatic bridal look- she is absolutely phenomenal and would recommend her in a heart beat!
My hair was done Fatima Ally Mahmood (Urban Chic), I went for a classic up-style to compliment my dress and make-up
My shoes were from Castello
I also had a personalised garter made by SewCouture ;)
We had our service, reception and celebration at the beautiful Shepstone Gardens venue in Houghton, Gauteng
I have always taken care of myself and live a clean, but still fun, lifestyle. For the build up to our wedding I ensured I ate cleanly, kept hydrated and followed my normal beauty regime every day.
Our colour scheme was champagne and rose gold. We kept with the theme of elegance and class, while adding touches of greenery to compliment the venue. Oopsie Daisy supplied our flowers, lighting supplied by Shepstone Gardens as well as the table decor.
My bridesmaids wore champagne coloured evening dresses, made by a dressmaker based in Randburg.
Reverend James Baker from the Forest Town Methodist Church in Gauteng - he was phenomenal
Both Nadia Mangels and Karine Antonian, who work at Shepstone Gardens, went above and beyond to make our day as special as it was.
By Word of Mouth attended to the catering, an exquisite 3 course plated menu was prepared, it was capped off with a magnificent dessert station.
Our cake was made by The Red Velvetier, it was an amazing 3 tier cake that was enjoyed by all.
Becky, who works at Shepstone Gardens, ensured all our stationery requirements were met.
A string quartet, A String of Pearls, played beautiful music to welcome the guests and set the mood while the guests enjoyed their canapes.
Dj Henk, from Zoom ensured that everyone danced the night away and our dance floor wasn't empty for a minute.
Here at Sew Couture we believe it is our sole purpose in this world to bring your vision alive
