Magical Moments

There were so many memorable moments on our special day, putting on my dream wedding dress with my mother and bridesmaids to assist me.

Another special moment was just before walking down the long aisle when the bell was rang, walking down the aisle with my father, my hands shaking, heart racing and being aware that all the attention is focused on myself and my father. But when my father gracefully held me by the hand all of that disappeared, everything went quiet and slowed down, and then as we walked my eyes met with my future husband's and I felt I floated along the aisle to my hubby to be with tears filled in Louis' eyes, once Louis took my hand from my father's I was completely at ease. Another very special and funny moment was when we were supposed to give each other the left hand, and each of us gave the right hand without noticing our mistakes and guests being entertained, which was also a ice breaker.

The first time our MC, introduced us as Mr and Mrs was very amazing and our first dance staring into each others eyes as if no one is watching.

The Honeymoon

We went on a short honeymoon to the Pilanesberg, a five star lodge where we attended game drives, had fantastic fine dining meals and was treated like royalty. My husband and I are both big nature lovers and we enjoyed the natural setting seeing the big five and having a peaceful and fun filled honeymoon.

My Special Day

My wedding dress was minc (soft pink) in colour A-line dress with lace and and long sleeves with embroidery. I had a veil with lace. My drop earrings were rosegold with diamonds complimenting my timeless dress. My hair was soft curls with a little tiara, adding to the vintage timeless look. I wore boots as wedding shoes which ensured for a great party. My make-up was elegantly done with individual lashes, I truly felt and looked like a Princess.
My dress was made by Beloved Bridal in Pretoria.
Make was done by Suzaan Louise Make-up Artistry from Rustenburg.

The Venue

We got married at the most beautiful wedding venue located on a game farm in the Waterval area near Sun City and Rustenburg, at Makinky Manzi. This is a unique venue in nature, surrounded by animals, water and cliffs.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

Three months prior to our wedding I exercised and ate healthy, I followed my normal skin routine, but added teeth whitening tooth paste and a chemical peel treatment for the glowing effect, ensuring proper hydration of my skin. My bridesmaids also treated me and my hubby to be to a spa treatment the day before our wedding. Also attempted to get enough sleep the week prior to our wedding.

Wedding Elements

We used King Pink Proteas together with pink proteas and desert roses. Our tables were very rustic, long wooden tables without overlays or table cloths. Each table had a King Protea and normal protea, with lots of different candles some in the lanterns on the tables. We also had lanterns with candles hanging in the windows of our venue. Fairy lights were everywhere in the venue creating a romantic rustic ambience.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

Grooms men wore navy suits which was hired from Eurosuit. They wore a white long sleeve shirt with a darker shade of pink tie and wooden brooches and brown / tan shoes.

The groom also wore a Navy suit which he bought, with a white long sleeve shirt and a navy tie with pink flowers on and tan shoes, looking very handsome!!

Beautiful Bridesmaids

The Bridesmaids wore long skirts made of minc colour and green also designed by Beloved Bridal. They wore cream long sleeve lace body suits with brown or tan boots. Their hair was softly curled with gips in the hair. The bridesmaids only wore vintage earrings.
