I will always remember every second of our wedding weekend, as every second to me was worth all the planning. My most memorable moments would be walking down the aisle with my mother and then our vows, from us both looking back together at the crowd to see everyone smiling not objecting, all the way to skipping out of the ceremony with huge smiles on our faces. The fun we had on our day was incredible. We decided to not practise our first dance song as we wanted to look natural and we definitely pulled it off, our loved ones thought we practised for months when we only chose our song the week before. We also enjoyed a special Last Dance at the end of the evening. The best decision i made apart from saying "I do", is to enjoy every moment on our day and take in as much as possible as this day only happens once and we were told it goes very quick (which it does).
We went to Zanzibar for our honeymoon and stayed at the beautiful and relaxing Sea Cliff Resort.
My wedding look I tried to go for was an elegant kind of fun under the stars. I incorporated navy blues, stars and the moon with different constellations to go with our starry night theme.

The starry night theme came about when we found our perfect venue.
Navy blue and white was chosen as it is elegant and everything I do is better with a touch of blue (I am obsessed with blue).
Flowers chosen were gerba daisies and white roses with a touch of blue leaves.
DJ De Wyk from Nitelife Productions did our lighting and music for the evening, he managed to keep the dance floor full right to the end.

Flower Market did the aisle and arch flowers.
They groom wore light grey and the groomsman wore dark grey.

No. Weddings cost too much, so between articles from SA wedding magazines and the wedding hub, I planned my own wedding after hours.
We used the game vehicle at the lodge.
My wedding cupcakes were made by TJ's creations and they had a filling on the inside with the flavour specified on top.
Kuthaba Bush lodge prepared the 4 course meal.
My sister designed my wedding stationary and my husband the program. We just used local printing companies.
We did dance lessons a year or two ago to teach my English husband how to "sokkie", however for our first dance we decided to just wing it and not practise.
