Magical Moments

Highlights are super special. My extended family are across the globe and I am so blessed to have cousins, aunts and uncles who were able to travel over the big blue and celebrate my big day. We had family from USA, New Zealand, UK and Australia.
Memorable moments are unlimited... One stood out : my prep and walk up the isle..

Both my parents ( I know I am also incredibly blessed in this regard) wished to walk me to my future husband.. once I had reached the front, my partner was so excited to see me that he gave me such a special series of kisses. I was overwhelmed at the genuine love I was surrounded by..

The Honeymoon

There was one spot I have been wishing to experience and that was : Cleopatra Mountain House in the Midlands & as a surprise treat - my partner surprised me and spoilt me rotten with a couple of days of absolute bliss.
The second half was Lake Naverone, a gem of a spot in berg...

My Special Day

My wedding look was very much focused on a more natural look and based on bohemian. I wanted a plat with soft curls - as I had been growing my hair for 4 years... The ladies from Knotts Salon in the midlands - were able create the look I had envisioned.

My dress was to be simple, but elegant. I wanted to be comfortable and not worry about pulling at anything / or checking straps etc..
I had a green velvet custom sash made that would speak to the love of nature. Green for Eco - friendly and passionate I am about caring for the environment. : Tarah from Magpie Calls did a magnificent job!

Make up was done by the talented : Tash from Painted Face

Dress from the attentive sales lady Donelle from Sposabella.

The wedding bangles and earrings were from a talented lady in Cape Town who I felt, connected to my theme. Katherine form Katmeleon Jewellery. She made stunning delicious monster earring and bangle sets for myself and my bridesmaids

Keeping it comfy, I chose one of my favourite and once again, proudly South African brand : BluBetty. A pair of grey and rose gold Pippas.

The Venue

We had chosen a family owned and run establishment : Providence Country Home. A professional and totally slick operated venue. All items were catered - from flowers, to the wedding cake. We were truly looked after by the ladies : Bonnie and Fern.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I was not going to push myself onto any crazy gym sessions and thought to be as natural as possible. All I really invested into was monthly facials - this was a real treat and actually carried on post my wedding as I saw the benefits of this treatment.

I am lucky to have a healthy diet and a slim naturally beautiful being, so I maintained it as best I could.

Wedding Elements

I had chosen the rose gold tones with the delicious monster. The plant was a dominant memory of my childhood as this plant was a collected force around the pool with my dads artistic drawings etc on the concrete blocks that held these cascading fronds.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

The Gents wore some super smart Suits for Hire from westville : Suit Hire and I had found some crafty ladies at the I Heart Market - keeping with the theme of supporting the local businesses - Polka.Dot.co. We had burgundy and emerald green ties and pocket hankies hand made.. the attention to detail and final effect was superb!

Beautiful Bridesmaids

I was very lucky to have found another local talent : Chanelle Wright - who created the most dreamy dresses. I also had some more South African flare with waist ties embellished ( matching the gents tie colours) from a delightful lady in Hillcrest : Tarah from Magpie calls.

Marriage Officer

I had a gentleman called Jonothan Payne who was from the area and very good!

My Captured Moments

Josh Reid was our photographer and creative director - as you can see from the pictures - he captures the most beautiful moments.

The Wedding Planner

All me, baby!!

Wedding Transport

No transport required, as each person organised their own transport.

Food & Cake

We were very fortunate with the services provided by the venue, Providence Country Weddings. Bonnie and Fern were on top of dinner, the wedding cake and cheese board treats.

Wedding Stationery

My sister kindly assisted as she is graphic designer artist and a fashion designer so she whipped up some epic templates.

I was also super fortunate to have a friend of mine create my invitation and wedding brochure.

The Reception and Entertainment

No dance lessons as my now husband thought we could just wing it (har har) fortunately I have some dance experience, so we were fine!

Our DJ was awesome! Music provided by DJ WORX. Highly recommended.
